What cracks me up about this is the Arabs. Have read before about their practice of marrying ladies, fucking them and then divorcing them hours later so it doesn't violate their "religious rules." Fucking hilarious!

I'll stick to just paying and fucking them. The other is just a time waster.

Arabs are the biggest hypocrites on the planet and this is yet another example.

By Mongerx on Thursday, July 13, 2006 - 11:25 pm:  Edit

Blazers damn right on the hypocrisy.

By Ironeagle on Friday, July 14, 2006 - 04:59 pm:  Edit

Every society has hypocrisy.

Lets take, for example, the United States. Many people do not enjoy the high gas prices or being so dependent on oil. They loath the fact that Iran is building nuclear weapons. They hate Chavez and feel he should be overthrown. They hate seeing the soldiers get blown up in Iraq by roadside bombs. Yet, they insist on driving big SUVs. They insist on NOT drilling off-shore, drilling in Alaska, building more nuclear power plants, using Ethanol, buying gas efficient cars, building refineries etc. In fact, there are dozens of ways in which to bring down the overall demand of energy in the United States, but Americans do not utilize them.

Instead, they insist on buying an SUV and filling it up thereby giving more money to Iran and Chavez so they can build their armies, develop nuclear weapons and fund terrorism. George W. Bush insists on Iran not building nuclear weapons. However, the United States directly funds Iran's nuclear weapons programs. The United States directly funds the very terrorists they are fighting.

Bush can do more damage to Iran and Venezuela (and terrorism) if he could find ways to lower the price of oil. What about an energy summit? What about a "Manhattan Project" with oil? Why build a bridge to nowhere when you can put that money to work on investment in ethanol? In this respect, he has failed. Today oil is at $78 a barrel and the banks of Iran are filled with American cash. Some of that cash will ultimately flow to rebels in Iraq who will kill American soldiers.

So the Americans dont want Iran or Venezuela to have nuclear weapons, they dont want their soldiers blown up...so why then do they give these guys money? That guy at the gas station filling up his Expedition finances terrorism.

That is true hypocrisy.

In the case of Indonesia, sex tourism contributes a good percentage to the GDP of the country. I am not sure the percentage in Indonesia, but in Thailand that percentage is 14% of the GDP.

The Indonesian prime minister is faced with a decision. He must either allow sex tourism or watch families starve.

IE, I think you missed the point on who the hypocrits are in the original article? Hint they are the ones using holy loop holes.

Otherwise, you point about the US and the world's dependency on oil giving resources to our enemies is spot on. The problem is that our highest leaders also get rich from high oil prices and fighting wars and many other of our leaders will kowtow to these interest because the rely open the political contributions of these industries to stay in office. Frankly after the last presidential election I became totally dissillusioned and have given up hope on the American voting public getting their thinking caps out and setting things right.

So, where is Puncak? (Although if it's crawling with A-rabs, that's not exactly an attraction).

By Sf4dfish on Saturday, July 15, 2006 - 11:57 am:  Edit

I've been to Puncak at least two times before.

Its around a two hour mountain drive up to cooler terrain, depending on traffic, which it normally does! Were many of the super rich have getaway retreats. And my rich Indo friends do have a large hillside retreat. (I guess if your not rich, at least have rich friends who invite you. Right?)

I don't recall seeing many Arabs, but then again, I wasn't looking for them.

I went looking for cewe's to relieve my stress and kink's from the two hour drive. They got quite a few roadside houses for you to go "peek & poke".

I recall seeing a large nightclub/disco, but didn't venture in.

I wouldn't go to Puncak just to chase Indo tail. But if you get invited up there, you can alway's find some:-) To while the time away......

"Manhattan Project" about oil ... good idea.

Except that's not 'Murkan any more. We can't have big government projects, remember? It has to be privatized ...

Lula and Bush are having a private meeting today in St. Petersburg...(Brazil is one of six developing countries invited to meetings at the G8)...and Lula says he intends to bring up the subject of ethanol export. (The US can't price-compete with Brazil and taxes it heavily.)

We'll see if there's any real intention on Bush's part of actually finding an answer to high fuel prices.

On the other hand, if Brazil is able to increase exports to the US, the Real is going to climb yet again.

Hmmm....fuel or pussy???

By Branquinho on Monday, July 17, 2006 - 07:48 am:  Edit

Give me cheap pussy; I'll ride my bike and get a hybrid. Cheaper pussy will save me more money in the long run than cheaper fuel.

Hey Guys
High oil prices is what you get when you elect an oil man for President, Bush Snr and his Saudi friends must be real happy. As for Muslims being hypocrites I can't agee. These assholes are a lot of things but they take their religion very seriously. For them these things like the two hour marriage and blowing up women and children are part of Allah's grand plan.

By book_guy on Monday, July 24, 2006 - 10:31 am:  Edit

I'd have to agree with Isawal, they aren't hypocrites. They're fervent zealots. There's a huge difference. I'm not sure which is more dangerous ...

And did anything come of the Lula-Bush oil summit? Nooooo ...
