Tony Romo should have focused on football and not that American Idol skank lol...Romo has a few good games and now, all of a sudden he is the next Joe Montana. Would you blame Bill Parcells for leaving after that game? Too many head cases on that team.

By Don Marco on Sunday, January 07, 2007 - 12:18 pm:  Edit

Not doubt Bill must be pretty down, but his JOB is to manage the show, not duck and hiberate when it doesn't execute. I'm sorry, but Bill is responsible for getting his team mentally prepared and putting the right people on the field. I've been quietly routing for them the last couple years as I am a Bledsoe and Parcell's fan, but during that time they have been terribly inconsistent and unfocused... whose fault is that?

By Khun_mor on Saturday, January 20, 2007 - 10:25 pm:  Edit

Damn !!!! As a diehard Bear fan I was praying to Buddha that FA would not bet on Da Bears .

I'm in mourning already !!!

I can only hope this is one of his rare correct picks !!!!

Right there with you KM, looking at FA1 first round picks now has me worried. But everyone is right once in a while and I am still feeling good about the Bears chances this afternoon.

Bear Down Chicago Bears...

By Khun_mor on Sunday, January 21, 2007 - 03:15 pm:  Edit

Helluva pick FA !!

Now that was the Bear's defense. I truly believe the turning point in that game was Reggie " Bush" pointing back taunting the Bears and somersaulting into the endzone on his touchdown. It raised the intensity of the defense immediately and got a little fire going on both sides of the ball. Reggie's got some growing up to do.

Dome wussies are now a pathetic 0-10 in outdoor championship games !

FA
I have to disagree with you on the second half of your picks. To DM's dimay I think Peyton is going to cut up the Pat's secondary and the Colts will win by double digits.

However I DO like your Super Bowl bet !!!

By Blazers on Sunday, January 21, 2007 - 04:53 pm:  Edit

Bears earned it but I have a feeling they would be bounced in the first round if they were in the AFC...personell-wise, the third worst team ever to go to a Super Bowl now that their defense is plagued with injuries. Overachieving QB who can play well in bad weather, average running game, average receivers at best and awesome defense that has become mediocre with injuries and the defensive backfield not up to par. Worst team ever to go to a SB are the 85 Patriots and second worst are the 94 Chargers. Worst team ever to win a SB are the 70 Colts, 90 Giants and 05 Steelers....I'm a Steelers fan but truth is truth.

By Catocony on Sunday, January 21, 2007 - 05:30 pm:  Edit

The Pats almost had the knockout punch delivered but the penalties killed it. Had they gone up 24-3 or 28-3 I think the Colts would be dead right now at halftime. As is, they're behind but have some things working for them now.

By Catocony on Sunday, January 21, 2007 - 08:19 pm:  Edit

Yep, the Pats should have put them away in the first half. And their fuckhead receiver who dropped the passes, the first drop didn't hurt them as they got a touchdown right afterward, but the one in the 4th quarter when he was wide open with nobody around him, totally unforgiveable. I don't think he would have scored, but the Pats would have had a first down fairly close to the goal line. A touchdown instead of a field goal would and it may have been a different game.

If Indy isn't favored by 8 or more points I'll be shocked. The Bears aren't very good, Grossman is the worst QB in the Super Bowl in quite some time. Still, if the Ravens won with Dilfer at QB who knows. I hope Manning's thumb is ok, if so Indy will dominate the game.

By Maximus743 on Sunday, January 21, 2007 - 11:57 pm:  Edit

Yep 2005 Steelers should never have beaten the Jets or I should say the Jets beat themselves

WOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO to the Colts
The Pats lucky breaks finally went against them and the better, more determined more deserving Peyton Manning is finally in the Super Bowl!
What a game!
And fuck the poor sport LOSER Baby Belichump who would not shake hands at the end of the game.
The good guys finally won.

The Bears barely got by the Seahawks and the Saints did not show up today. Too bad.

Go Colts!!!!!!!!!!!

no comment about the game cept the D certainly let me down when they needed a stop.

gratz to both the bears and colts fans. I and routing for manning as he and dungy deserves a ring... but whats with all the "god and lord" crap in the interviews?? Yes, perhaps a higher power had something to do with that comeback.

I love individuals who Thank the Lord for their Success as it is God who is responsible for all good (blessed them with their life/abilities/etc. :-)

More people should be appreciative of their God given looks/body/talents. Not everyone is born with an Athlete's body or a model's looks or an Athlete's skills..

I do hope the colts win.Knowing the Dungy family[I am not black]and parents ,he is incredibly decent and sportsmanlike.I am hoping his parents will watch from Heaven their son acheive Glory in this world and go on to Help people and communities

By Knockkneedman on Sunday, January 28, 2007 - 11:25 am:  Edit

First off what does not being black have anything to do with your post? Does this make your opinions on Dungy more valid than if you were black?

I am so sick of hearing why Dungy deserves to win because he is such a great guy, etc. He has had the most talented offense in football over the 5 years he has coached the Colts including Manning who is probably the best QB to ever play the game. And what has he done? One Super Bowl appearance.

Lovie Smith, who is also a great guy, in his first three seasons as an NFL head coach took a 5-11 Bears team in 2004 to the Super Bowl in 2006. He has built one of the best defenses in the league (would have been the best, without two key injuries this year).

Indianapolis will not score more than 20 points against the Bears, Manning will throw two interceptions and Addai will give away a fumble. The Bears will win and people throughout the world will start to remember that football is about great Defense, not cute offense (ok, possibly getting over the top there)

Due_d I would be careful about that over bet, no more the 47 points will be scored

By Don Marco on Sunday, January 28, 2007 - 12:03 pm:  Edit

I'm just hoping for a good game. I agree that peyton should win the ring, but I'll be damn happy if Grossman comes thru with a win, which may perhaps STFU all his pundits, who have nothing better to write about than how he's a liability. Go rex!

By Khun_mor on Sunday, January 28, 2007 - 05:10 pm:  Edit

I'm hoping I have less than 3 girls in my room this time so I can actually watch the game.

Since it's the Bears I will likely be able to resist the temptation this time. Also it's only my second day in AC so I will be "relatively" lonely at that time .

Go Bears and I hope Rex just doesn't cough up the ball. The rest will fall into place.

I believe Jones and Benson will both have big days against the undersized Colts D line.

2, 3 team parlays above still pending, push on Rockets 2cd half and Spurs won.

Actually, Rockets should of covered 2cd half wnen refs called a foul on Rockets off the ball with 1.7 secs left, last 2 min of game can not call foul off the ball, both announcers and evryone in studio said game should of been over but instead Utah sinks both free throws to give Rockets the push.

2cd bad call by refs cost me on Rockets, game 5 with Rockets up 4, I had -5, Yoa gets the ball with less than 10 secs left Boozer tries to foul him but refs dont call the foul, Boozer puts his hands on his head and looks at the ref like what the fuck, why didnt you call the foul ?

Just for the record , winning in 70% of playoffs entered would most likely rank Fooledagain1 as the NUMBER 1 rank sports predictor of any pro or sports service over the same period of time in Las Vegas who is willing to put all picks in writing before the games are played.

And there are website that track such things,

Yes, the averasge Joe can not win at sports betting, because all they know how to do is watch games , see who is playing hot then back the hot team, and use a combination of quess work and luck. Impossible to win using such methods.

Unfortunately, FooledAgain's actual winnings since he began posting his picks ahead of time here are, well, awful. He was really good when he reported his picks after the fact, though.

Over the long haul, if FA reports his picks ahead of time, his losing should more or less equal the vig that he is paying.

Your 4 unit parlay from the Bulls to the Spurs doesn't make any sense. I know you already lost the Bulls game, but if you would just take your 4 units and bet it straight, it would pay 7.6 units and if it won, you could put it on San Antonio the next day and it could return 14.5 total which would be more than your 4 plus 10.4.

and of course you could have done the same with your 1st half parlay that is still alive. The way you are doing it, you win less when you do win. Of course if you split, you loose...it is hard enough to win one game, but when you parlay the book only has to win one game. Great spot for the book.

By Fooledagain1 on Saturday, May 12, 2007 - 06:36 am:  Edit

Good point, but under your senerio I win 14.4 units, Bulls bet wins 4 and parlay wins 10.4. If Bulls lose we are both down 8.4 units if Bulls win and Spurs lose we both break even.

No you still lose only 4 units as you bet 4 and it pays 7.6 and you put the entire 7.6 in the second game...if you lose the first or second game you lose only your 4 units.

A two game basketball or football parlay only makes sense when you are short on money and the games are being played at the same time.

Theres a number of ways to play it, but here is the difference in the 2 ways, if you lose 1 game you lose 4 units, my way I can lose 1 game and break even, but you cant. Advantage my way.

But my way if Bulls lose I lose 8.4 units, where as your way loses 4 units only. Advantage your way, it about the same either way.

heres the other difference you are missing, yes you collect 14.5 units but that is just a 10.5 profit, coz 4 units were yours in the initial bet.

my way pays a 14.4 profit , 4 units more than your way and coz I risk 4 more units it works out the same.
My 4 unit parlay pays a 10.4 profit exactly the same as yours. Well .1 difference.

Here is the other difference which does not apply to every game but did in my situation.
The monmey was coming in on Spurs pushing the spread up, if I waited I could of layed more points so locking in the best spread required getting down before Bulls game.

Bulls ml +330 --- .5 units to win 1.65 units

By Fooledagain1 on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 - 05:52 am:  Edit

sampson, both ways are the same, what your missing is under your way the 14.5 units you collect includes your initial bet of 4 units, so your net profit is 10.5 units

My 2 team parlay of 4 units I collect 14.4 units, just like you, but 4 units is my money in initial bet , so it produces a 10.4 net profit.

Well unless you consider the .1 difference to be a big deal, I dont, your way also requires much more time, as you have to wait untill the Bulls game ends to know if you won or lost before getting down on Spurs, seems like a lot of extra time and effort for .1 unit.

By sampson on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 - 11:06 pm:  Edit

Yes over the course of time, the .1 unit is big. I would prefer it in my pocket instead of his...but I am sure he is happy if he has a regular parlay bettor. If you are involved in gambling and you want to win, you should take advantage when you can...always shop for the best number, and always play for the best return.

sampson, I agree it is better to have the .1 then not. Assuming you have the time to shop and get down on 2 bets instead of 1 thats the smart way to play .

The .1 is not that big a deal, really, how many parlays can you win in 1 year ? 50 parlay wins would be just 5 additional units but thats spending alot of time making 2cd bets that parlays eliminate.

Granted, I rather have the 5 units then not, sure.

I have gone over many different ways to play and have determined the single most important aspect is getting the best point spread available, over the long run you will do better even if it pays less.

Here is a example that just happen in game 3 , 2 team parlay in 1st half , Spurs and Bulls.

The money was coming in on Spurs driving the spread up, I shopped and found Spurs -2 in 1st half, it was 2.5 everywhere else.
I played the parlay and locked-in the -2, had I waited for Bulls game to end I would of had to take 2.5.

Well, as things went, Spurs down 1 and Finley hits a 3 and Spurs win 1st half by 2.

Now, I pushed but had I waited I would have lost. Thats much bigger and much more important than getting a .1 extra return.

My 2 team parlay becomes a straight bet winning 3.6 units but had I waited and bet after Bulls game I would lose 4 units.
Thats a 7.6 unit difference, at .1 units it would take 76 parlay wins to get the 7.6 units back.. Thats the power of getting the best spread available.

I always look to get the best point spread, the parlay I just played game 5 is the same deal, the moneys coming in on Bulls so its much better to parlay in this case and lock-in the -1. If the moneys coming in on Det I would likely wait.

By Fooledagain1 on Thursday, May 17, 2007 - 12:54 pm:  Edit

It happened again last night, had you waited to bet Spurs you pushed at -3, but getting down early I got -2, and won.

The points come in to play more often then one thinks, you need just 1 or 2 times the points come in to play and your way ahead.

On a 4 unit 2 team parlay I would win 10.4 units.
On the same parlay had the Spurs been your second bet and you waited to get down, you lay -3 and push. You win 3.6 units.

Point being there are a number of consideration for each bet.

That is weird pick -125 for first half...

I looked at my place and it is +1/2 -110 better on the number and better on the line....Hard to imagine on a team getting a point in the game is pk and -125 in the first half...the pick is believalbe but the minus 125....Does your place offer both teams at -125 or do you get a plus with Detroit in the first half?

By Fooledagain1 on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 - 05:18 am:  Edit

Yes, it was wierd, but where I got +1 they had no 1st half line, all other places had Cavs -.5, so I grab best line of pk, even if I paid -125.

Nadal (-200) over Federer --- 5 units to win 2.5 units

By Porker on Sunday, June 10, 2007 - 03:26 pm:  Edit

Nadal ABUSED Federer. Ro-Zhay will never win the French as long as that guy's still in the draw. History, however, shows that if you keep showing up and winning, the draw will eventually be kind to you (though the vast majority don't take advantage!), so we'll see if Federer ultimately gets his Holy Grail.

Of course on any surface besides clay, Nadal has so far been Ro-zhay's BITCH. Will be interesting to see if he ever turns that around. I doubt he will. Federer is easily the greatest all-surface player that ever lived.

2007 NFL Surprise Teams

2 Best teams not in playoffs last season

1. Jax
2. Denver
Ride these 2 teams to win divisions and AFC and SB. Ride all season on point spreads.

2 best teams to win 6 games or fewer last season

1. Minnesota
2. Arizona
Don't be surprised if 1 or both of these teams are in the playoff race at seasons end.

Ride these 2 on the point spreads this season.

Super Bowl Winner --- San Diego or 1 of my surprise teams.

Team I'D be careful with, who could be overrated and may take a step back --- NY Jets.

By Porker on Sunday, September 09, 2007 - 01:27 pm:  Edit

Dude, Federer in a WALK.

Minnesota D was certainly awesome today, but who knows if they'll dominate against decent teams, and they're passing offense is a complete joke. Jackson better be a "game manager" type, and even if he IS (improbably) decent at doing that, that leaves the Vikings UPSIDE at, what, 9-7?

Adrian Peterson looking like a STUD, though. They should take advantage of Chester Taylor's early injury and just head him out to pasture to let the future kick ass sooner rather than later.

Fooledagain1 does it again !!!! Goes to 4-0 ATS and 2-0 on the ml in WNBA Playoffs.

All the amatuers came out to play for game 3 last night, pouring they're hard earned cash down on Phoniex, pushing the spread from Phoniex -3.5 all the way to Phoniex -6.

Phoniex was red hot coming into game 3, winning 15 of last 17 games, including 7 straight at home and were fresh off a 30 point wipping of Detroit in game 2.

Obviously Phoniex would be the right play in game 3 right ? Wrong !!!

This is the type of situation I've talk about on the site over and over again, the average sports bettor only know's to watch games, see who's hot and back the hot team, with this kind of information over time it's virtually impossible to win, over the long run, and is why most fail.

Phoniex plays a style very similar to the Phoniex Suns in the NBA, up-tempo, run and gun offense taking alot of 3's, but are a very, very pathetically poor rebounding team, just like the Suns.

Poor rebounding teams rarely win titles on the pro level. In fact, since 1974, the 1st year of rebounding stats, of the 42 NBA champs since, just 2 were poor rebounding teams. And of the 9 WNBA champs, not 1 was a poor rebounding team.

That's 51 champs and 2 were poor rebounding teams. The odds are stack very heavy against Phoniex winning the title.

Phoniex is by far the worst rebounding team I've ever seen on the pro level, according to all the stats.

NBA Champs and WNBA Champs lead the series after game 3 in over 90% of all 5 game or 7 game series.

Detroit was clearly the right play, I would of masde a major call in the game had one of Detroit best players not been injuried.

Detroit +6 over Phoniex --- won 2 units
Detroit ml +240 --- won 2.4 units

Detroit 1st half +3 --- won 1 unit
Detroit 1st half ml (+162) --- won .81 units

won 6.21 units

2007 WNBA Playoffs to date --- won 10.61 units

WNBA FINALS - Game 5 of a Best of 5 series

Detroit -2 over Phoniex --- 2.2 units to win 2 units
Detroit 1st half --- 1.1 units to win 1 unit

Hey, the WNBA is one of the easiest playoffs to beat, the lines are way off because it's not so popular.

The last 2 years I've posted picks on WNBA Playoffs my teams were hit by injuries to they're best players, but I still ended ahead and could of had major scores.

Cowboys vs Patroits --- How bout those Cowboys !!!!!!!

The betting public has way overreacted to Dallas's poor play monday night vs Bills, and they are pouring money on the Pats, point spread opened Pats -4 and now it's -6. One offshore book reports 95% of the bets are on Pats.

However, Dallas +6 is the right play in the game, and grab the money line while your at it. ML can be had for +190 to +220.

How Bout Those Cowboys !!!!!

The Patroits are playing on an alltime, historical level, and are now in position to surpass the 85 Bears as the most dominate team in a single season in NFL History.

With all that said I'll grab Miami +17.

I'm going to put some coin on the Rockies +200 tonight. Last June, they played well against Boston winning 2 out of 3 games when they were barely a .500 team. Remember, Francis beat Beckett and the top of the Rockies lineup did quite well against Boston's ace. The Rockies are too hot to fade right now. Do so at your own risk. +200 is too much of a value to pass up on.

Colts vs Pats --- WOW both teams coming in Red Hot, I'll pass, but next week go against the team that covers the spread this week.

This weeks picks
Minny +7 over Chargers
49ers +3.5 over Falcons
Houston +3 over Raiders

By Porker on Saturday, November 03, 2007 - 11:06 pm:  Edit

Why the HELL would you bet on Minnesota in that game? Please tell me ONE outstanding thing about the Minnesota offense besides Adrian Peterson, who SHOULD get stuffed by superior Chargers D. And whoever they throw out there at QB is a CLOWN.

Actually, is there ANYTHING to be gained by betting on the three worst offensive teams in football? At least with the 49'ers and Houston, they're playing shitty teams, but Minnesota? The Chargers got off to a slow start, but they got a ton more talent.

By Porker on Saturday, November 03, 2007 - 11:07 pm:  Edit

Actually, looks like ALL your bets are on the worst teams in the NFL to be not as bad as the betting public thinks. I'm sure you're getting your ass kicked again this year, right?

By Porker on Sunday, November 04, 2007 - 01:04 pm:  Edit

But of course Adrian Peterson goes NUTS! The guy's like a 6'2" Barry Sanders?

By Khun_mor on Sunday, November 04, 2007 - 04:33 pm:  Edit

Where the hell did the Bolt's defense go ?? I don't ever again want to hear about Shawne Merrimen being the best defensive player in the league. Wthout the steriods -- er excuse me the "tainted supplements" -- he's just a little better than ordinary . Four tackles no sacks -- great game !!

BTW I know DM will be insufferable but you have to hand it to Brady. He outplayed Manning in the dome . Might as well hand out the Lombardi trophy now.

By Solid808 on Sunday, November 04, 2007 - 04:41 pm:  Edit

imho, I attribute the lack of success the Chargers are having to Norv Turner...He should stick to being an awesome offensive coordinator.

By Porker on Sunday, November 04, 2007 - 05:55 pm:  Edit

Patriots won the game and deserved to, but don't agree about Manning being outplayed. Drops and pass interference penalties were the difference in stats, not to mention Colts usual game plan to sit on the ball, milk the clock and limit the other team's posessions.

Randy Moss outplayed just about everybody, and that's really the story.

The 49ers burnt me 2 weeks in a row, don't be surprised they get it done this week, I bet I'll reget not backing them this week.

Looks like an 0 fer weekend coming up. The only thing that might save you is the ridiculous spread on the Pack, but never a good bet to hope a big underdog can luck out and cover .

The Raiders and 49ers are hopeless I would not hold my breath waiting for their "rise".

He got a push on the Ravens...but I would always buy on and off of 3...I had the same game and bought the hook....hell no one should have lost that game as 3 is such a key number everyone liking the Browns should have bought it down to 2.5 and Ravens bettors should have bought it up to 3.5....always do the same on 7's as well.

NYG of course covered...and the 9ers are playing at this moment...

His "strategy" is pretty easy to see: Pick the shittiest offenses in the NFL and bet the farm... Seems pretty stupid to me, but in the long run, all betting is stupid (if you value MONEY), so KNOCK YOURSELF OUT!

By Khun_mor on Sunday, November 18, 2007 - 09:55 pm:  Edit

Yup Beware of those Niners and Raiders.

Still in the ashes I'm afraid. SF may well be the worst team in the league and will give the Fish a run for the #1 draft pick.

By Solid808 on Monday, November 19, 2007 - 08:17 am:  Edit

Niners have a ton of problems and you are right KM about them being the worst or tied for worst in the NFL.

Being a Niner fan, I had such promise after the off season draft and free agency.

Thought this was going the be Alex Smith's year to shine, (granted the O line sucks) but Smith looks like Harrington and a bust of a 1st round pick. Smith has the lowest passer rating in the league.

For starters...SF needs to draft or look into free agency for another quarterback, Nolan needs to overhaul the Offensive Coaching Staff (if he doesn't lose his job first). And lose Dilfer

By sampson on Monday, November 19, 2007 - 11:36 am:  Edit

I didn't see the game, but cannot figure out why SF elected to kick a field goal, under the 2:00 mark down by 7....they were at the 19 and 4th down...seems likes they are more likely to win the game by going for a touchdown in that spot...

I see their coach says, he was going for the "win"...by kicking a field goal, getting the ball back and then scoring a TD. Well it almost worked, but when they got the ball back it was at their own 11. Seems to me if they did not score, they would have had better field position that the 11...and they actually drove 68 yards on that final drive, before throwing an INT on the final play from the 21.

1-1-1 ATS for the week
6-5-1 ATS Year to Date

Hey , both 49ers and Raiders were right there, both failed to push by 1 pt.

Packers continue to play over they're heads and are primed and ready to go down.

I will always buy to a key number but never off a key number. The reason, if the key number comes into play worse case senerio I push , don't lose. I failed to do this with 49ers +3.5 vs Atlanta a pick I made here on site when most times I would buy to 4 which is a key number, and Atlanta gets a late field goal to win by 4, I lost but should of had the push.

All my picks are against the hottest teams or for the coldest teams, this is where all the value in the point spread lies. There are things to look for which signals a hot team is ready to go down or a cold team is ready to rise and it works fairly well. I bet I'll finish with a winning record by years end using this method.

This is also why one can't just watch games on tv and see who's hot and bet that hot team or bet against cold teams, which is what 99% of gamblers do and is why they fail. The bookmaker watched those same games, he knows the same thing you know, so he "jacks-up" the spread to compensate and in the long run over time those "extra points" he added are going to get you. Your teams will win but fail to cover just enough times to produce a losing record.

The last time I tried this on the site back in 2005 and got burnt, well as it turns out, 2005 is thought to be "alltime record season" for favorites covering the point spread. The sports book mangers in Vegas "to a man" can't remember a season in which the favorites covered at such a high rate.

When this happens the betting public (the amatuers)cleans up and the house and pro's get killed, which is what happened. But as these things generally go, they reverse themselves and did they ever. In 2006 the dogs came rolling back covering over 60% late into the season and are covering again this season. Had I posted my picks in 2006 instead of 2005, I would of won damn near everything in sight.

That's a unusual and rare season in 2005, unfortuntly for me I was on mostly dogs and got buried, not likely to happen in a normal season.

The article about that season appeared in Pro Football Weekly.

I had a Black Thursday...lol

going with Minny +7.5
and St Louis +3.5 both on buys if the hook is not available

When Green Bay hit that field goal to go ahead by 11, I thought I had a legit shot. Expected the prevent and of course they would have gone for do down 5....but Green Bay played it the way every team should(but most don't) and pressured the QB....that is the beauty of those dogs as they often score meaninless td's at the end to cover....thought the same may happen with ATL but their drive stalled short down 18...

How good is the Vikings running game behind rookie sensation Adrian Peterson ???

Well, the Vikes ave per carry of 5.629 ranks no. 1 in the 41 year history of the Super Bowl Era, ahead of the previous no.1, 97 Lions and the amazing Barry Sanders, 5.512 ave per carry.

The Vikes rank no.3 alltime in NFL History, ranking no.1, the 63 Browns and the incomparable Jim Brown, 5.737.

Pretty impresive for sure.

Believe it or not, the Vikes defense ave per carry given-up of 2.99 yds ranks 4th in the SB Era.

Preseason Surprise Teams

Let's check-in with my preseason surprise teams with 12 games in the books.

We'll look at their record vs spread to see if they're playing above or below the expectations set up-on them by the bookmakers and betting public.

2 Teams that Failed to Make Playoffs Last Season in 2006
1. Jax -- 8-4 ATS - 4th best in the league
2. Denver -- 3-9 ATS - 2cd worst in league

2 Teams that finished with 6 wins or fewer last season in 2006

1. Arizona -- 7-4-1 ATS - 7th best in league
2. Minny -- 6-4-2 ATS - winning record

Not to shabby, 3 of 4 have winning records.
I was off on just 1 team.
My 2 teams with 6 wins or fewer last season are both in the playoff hunt and 1 is highly likely to get in.

Arizona has 3rd best record in the league vs teams with winning records, at 3-1, tied with Dallas. Pats 4-0, Pitts 3-0.

Minny has the single best rushing attack in the 41 year history of the SB Era, according to ave. per carry.

The Team That Was 10-6 in 2006 I said would Likely Take a Step Back This Season

NY Jets -- 3-9 SU -- 4-7-1 ATS - 24th best

Take a step back ?? You betcha !!

My Super Bowl Winner
San Diego -- 7-5 ATS - They're playing much better and are coming on, but not likely.

Cashed with 5 of my 6 teams.

Games of the Week

Detroit +11.5 over Dallas
49ers +9 over Vikes

Watch out Boys, Lions might just pull a rabbit out of the hat and get this game outright !!

Last Week -- 2-0 ats

In Other Games, Atlanta might just put the Saints out of they're misery this weekend.

By sampson on Sunday, December 09, 2007 - 09:36 pm:  Edit

I bet both of those, and even through in the Jets for a 1-2 day...I've noticed we have some of the same games, when I check your picks..

The Jets play hurt since they dominated...and their coach made terrible decisions down the stretch....I think they had 9 more first downs, and 50 more yards offense while outclocking the Browns in their loss.

By Fooledagain1 on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 - 06:40 pm:  Edit

Yea, Cleveland was lucky to cover, up by 2 they were running out the clock, then Jets can't tackle Lewis and he scores on 31 yd run.

Any thoughts on the coming playoffs ??

It looks like we could have the most dominate bye teams in history. They might finish the season something like 56-2 vs the rest of the league.

All 4 could win and cover they're opening game, which is rare. I think the team that may not cover, and could possibly lose would be Green Bay.

By sampson on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 - 01:22 pm:  Edit

Just worried about this week...to much can happen in the next month.

I believe that that last touchdown was given to them as this may sound stupid but without seeing the end of the game this is what I have heard:

Down 2 and no chance to get the ball down, they allowed Cleveland to score in hopes of scoring, getting an on-side kick and scoring again.

This in itself may make sense, but when you are at the 17 why kick a field goal on first down? sure they need two scores, but can they really argue that after a short field goal and 32 seconds they could recover a kick and make a long touchdown....seems a no-brainer to me to do it the other way.

I would look for the Dolphins to shove it up the experts asses and get the win.

Well, 2 of my preseason surprise teams are now the talk of the town, the hottest things since sliced bread going into the final run for the postseason.

The experts are piling on they're bandwagons, some experts are called Jax the 2cd best team in the league, and damn near every expert is saying if the Vikes get in, they'll be a dangerous team come playoff time.

As is very common with the experts they overreact to a few good or bad games.

It will be interesting to see where these teams go from here after all these experts have jumped on they're bandwagons.

The Bears might just open "a can of whip-ass" on the Vikes tonight, and leave the experts with yet another ream job.

Indy? INDY? You're actually gonna bet on the 2nd best team in the NFL? Have you imbibed too much egg nog?

BTW, you do realize that there's a strong possibility that Indy's going to play their bench warmers most of the game? Their record in weeks 16-17 the last 3+ years has been rather ugly.

By Fooledagain1 on Friday, December 21, 2007 - 06:04 am:  Edit

Play they're bench warmers ?? Nah, not Indy !!

2 Years ago Indy played they're bench warmers in final 2 games and then lost to Pitt in playoffs.

Lessons learned, you can get away with resting starters in the final game or part of final game but not final 2 games.

Same thing happened to Denver when they lost to Jax in 96 season's playoffs. They rested starters in final 2 games, not good.

Houton's off they're largest back 2 back wins of the season, they're hot.

I will play Cincinatti this week as everyone and their brother is betting Cleveland, and the books are moving the line down. I bet Cleveland at +6 early this year(week 2) in this rivalry and find it amusing that they go from a 6 point road favorite to a home dog against the same team.

Will play San Francisco and Denver as well.

Happy Holidays to all.
