Which is more believable:
(1) there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq when we invaded;
(2) Clinton didn't inhale;
(3) this Bush administration official paid 200 - 300 dollars per hour to girls from an escort service, but this was only for non-sexual massages.
Anyway, it's good to see the Bush administration upholding good ol' family values.

Actually, there is another one that has received very little attention (I guess because of the sensitivity of the subject). After Saddam was hung, Bush said in an interview he had one of his aides show him the camera-phone version of the event from the internets, but Bush asked his aide to turn it off just before the hanging occurred, because Bush didn't want to see it.
Anyone believe him?

This is especially delicious given that Tobias ran the Adminstration's global AIDS program that was (is) so controversial because of its emphasis on abstinence and its deemphasis on condom use.
Do you think Tobias used condoms with the "massage therapists?"

According to an article on the Washington Post website I just read, his hypocrisy even goes further:
"Tobias, who is 65 and married, was director of U.S. Foreign Assistance and administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development. He previously held a top job in the Bush administration overseeing AIDS relief, in which he promoted abstinence and a policy requiring grant recipients to swear they oppose prostitution."
Unbelievable!! In a league with those evangelical Christian leaders who make a living railing against gays while frequenting gay prostitutes.
And with reference to the grant requirement pertaining to prostitution, I believe Brazil essentially told the U.S. and Tobias to shove it up their collective asses.
Good riddance to the fucker and I hope they expose many more of his ilk.

I just love how these news agencies say stuff like "said two people in a position to know the circumstances of his departure", and people eat it up as truth. Or the one i like is "A close member of the administration said". I have no idea whether whatever is said is true or not but don't just buy into news because some news agency say they have a close source, there have been to many lies reported as truth. You have to realize there is always a political slant. I like to get my information from different sources then make up my mind.

I was never prouder of Brasil when they turned down USAID AIDS funding when Tobias and his religious right zealots required Brasil to make a statement condemning prostitution. The Brasilian minister of health told Washington to go fuck themselves and keep their $40 million.
Brasil feels that prostitutes are important partners in the fight against the spread of HIV, and to condemn them would simply drive them underground and make prevention more difficult.
Poor Scooby...these are tough days for the Bushies. Stick with Rush and you'll only hear comforting news.

"I have no idea whether whatever is said is true or not but don't just buy into news because some news agency say they have a close source"
Scooby needs to be more precise. I think what he meant to say was:
"I have no idea whether whatever is said is true or not but don't just buy into news because some news agency say they have a close source unless it is Fox News, in which case I believe everything they say, irrespective of whether they claim they have a source or not."
