Newly released video. Got good review by critics. Anyone seen this Mexican flick?

There is a sequel to that currently showing in theater. Don't recall the title, but it's something with "Padres..." Help!!!

I've seen it-it's really strange. It's about 2 college age Mexican guys from an the upper class-one of them elite upper class. They go on a road trip to the beach from Mexico City with one of the guys cousins who is older and is estranged from her husband. They end up telling sex stories and fucking, etc..The movie is told with a weird narrative throughout that's a critique on the Mexican upper class among other things.

I'ts a different kind of movie. The name is "Y Tu Mama Tambien" I'd say it's worth renting.

I've seen it, and highly recommend it. It is part of the new renaissance in Mexican cinema. You will also want to see Amor es Perros.

Blockbuster has it, but in and edited version that gives it an "R" rating. I gather they cut some stuff so it would appear in places like Blockbuster???

Blockbuster and Hollywood Video both have corporate policies of not stocking any movie with anything more than an "R" rating. You will not find directors cuts, NC-17s, and ESPECIALLY not XXX.

Which is why I never rent from Blockbuster and Hollywood Video, but give ALL of my video rental business to independent places, which do stock directors cuts, NC-17s, and XXX.

"Amor es perros" is the best movie I have seen this year. This was my first mexican movie ever, a tad too long but excellent nonetheless.

I don't know what was so great about this movie ... the best parts were the various scenes of the Mexican people and countryside. The story itself was kind of blah.

The much hyped nudity and sex was a disappointment ... two hot chicks at the start of the movie and then we never see them again. The best nudity in this movie is definitely in the first 10 minutes. After that, the movie shows more dick than tit, and two guys kissing (the Dogster seal of approval).

Yeah, lots of sex, but mostly shots of guys' butts. This probably more of a woman's movie, despite the Beavis and Butthead angle.
