A while back I think Murasaki posted a link to a video of the Japanese version of this show. (I wish I could find it, but I can't.)
Basically, the game is like a human Tetris where a Styrofoam cutout of a human shape starts approaching. You have to make your body match the shape or else you get pushed into a pool of water.
It came from Japan and many Asia countries have versions of the show. Indonesia has it as well. It is called "Hole in the wall."
Well guess what folks? Our favorite conservative media empire is bringing this show to America. Fox and the producers of American Idol are now developing a US version this show.
Apparently the CEO thinks it is a good idea because it has "universal comedic appeal" and that clips of "Hole" have attracted 5 million views on Youtube during the past 6 to 9 months.
I mean, wow. Absolutely wow. Youtube is now influencing major producers to develop shows for television and they are using the amount of views a clip receives on Youtube as part of a justification for how successful the show will be.

And, of course, we just had a writers' strike. So anything that smacks of game show or reality TV is getting a more-than-usual hearing because it doesn't need writers.
Now that the strike is over, watch a bunch of these ideas fizzle.
