Most Obnoxious Tourists?

The French
According to a recent international survey, the French are now considered the most obnoxious tourists from European nations, behind only Indians and the last-place Chinese as the worst among countries worldwide.
Overall, French travelers landed 19th out of 21 nations worldwide, far behind the first-place Japanese, considered the most polite, quiet and tidy. Following the Japanese as most-liked tourists were the Germans, British and Canadians. Americans finished in 11th place alongside the Thais.
American tourists fared well in some surprising ways. Despite being notoriously language-limited, for example, they top the list of tourists credited with trying to speak local languages the most, with the French, Chinese, Japanese, Italians and Russians coming in last in the local-language rankings.

Does this really surprise anyone? The terms rude, crude, and socially unacceptable certainly come to mind.
You guys have obviously not experienced the tourists coming out of mainland China. They don't close the doors to their hotel rooms except when they sleep at night, and they don't speak in whispers, either. They spit where ever they want; I saw some slob spit on a carpeted floor in a fairly nice restaurant in Macau. Consideration for others is just not heard of.
Even the French ain't as bad as that .

I used to go a village in Brittany france for my holidays when i was young [as this place is the nearest to SE England].
I always remember chatting and drinking with some french locals when a german with a french girlfriend got my attention saying, this man is saying bad things to me about za war, your English can you say somezings to him, and there was this drunk frenchman shouting abuse at this german about the war, the problem was is that i did not know enough french to talk to him, and also the other french locals had warned me that he was the local gangster, so i could not do anything except consol the german and be on his side
unforgently theres no mongering in this story, except that french girl from paris who wanted to get me outside the barndance and kiss me.
Redbus,
all I know is if it wasn't for the Americans the French would be speaking German today! And that's the truth.............
