If a man is alone in the forest, without any women, is he still wrong?

Copperfieldkid are you thinking of mongering in the forest, being no woman there i can just imagine what your trip report and mongering pictures would look like.

It is not beyond the realm of possibility, it just depends on when fire season ends. The trip report would be totally uncensored. Just imagine, no one around, a rare insight into a monger in his finest minutes. The smell of fresh forest, wood everywhere, literally. It would be like Dancing With the Stars, only solo. If it were up to me, all men would be allowed to do this. I'm just worried about leaving too much DNA in the forest, might scare the animals.
And of course the echo of the magic moment, it would probably scare every bull moose within five miles.
Pictures, hell I would win the annual photo contest, hands down, or up, or up and down! The Moderators would be on oxygen. And a few of the members probably would be so envious they would be on Winstrol, Prosac, or at the very least Claritin.

Big Sur is [was] a beautiful area, I shall not contribute any further to it's demise. But I would like to know more about that Shell Station, although 110degress is not exactly enticing this time of year and I don't think I could "beat the heat".......

I use to shoot practice approaches to the Blyth airport and I can assure you there is NOT much out that way.
