The reason any middle-aged person prefers a younger one is that they don't need another decaying carcass in their lives.

If a marriage isn't official until it is consumated I wonder what 'consumated' would be defined as in this case. Do fingers or foreign objects qualify? And must both partners get penetrated? Will they have to publish pictures of the proof on the internet?
What I'm waiting for is the first high-profile celebrity gay divorce. I don't mean partner break-up, I'm talking about a case like this where they claim to be officially married and are seeking official, government-sanctioned divorce involving property and custody. I think what will happen in such event is the lawyer of the wealthier of the two will put forth that the two really weren't 'married' because (enter some technicality here, like consumation). If the appeal reaches the Supreme Court, it could result in an official decree that there is no, and cannot be, such a thing as gay marriage, based on the definition of 'marriage.' Then the wealthier one will be the traitor to the cause, get the death-threats etc (like you-know-who's ex).

I have gay friends and I tell them they're nuts for wanting to get gay marriage legalized. I tell them they have a greatest excuse for not.
