The coach stops right in front of the entrance. Folks begin to alight, some carrying just their briefcase, others their carry-ons. The porters unload the bags from the baggage hold onto the cart -

The revolving doors have been roped off, funneling everyone through the sliding doors on the side. A security guard wands everyone, Each person puts all their carryon items, overcoat, briefcase, shoulder bags,newspaper etc. into the scanner. They have to empty their pockets into the plastic bins. The scanner scans everything - As they walk through the scanner frame, they step on an off-coloured matt, which apparently checks the boots/shoes too. An occasional heavy belt buckle freaks out the alarm

After picking their belongings, these folks go to the counter where a special person checks their passport & other papers before handing them their individalized packages. Off they go to their respective { vertical,diagonal,horizontal } people movers -- whatever......

Once at their right levels, they are greeted by another set of officious looking security types who look at the number printed on the card and direct them to the appropriate gate. At each corner on their level is yet another walkie-takie guy or gal standing - some politely smiling, others stern and expressionless.

So where is this place ?
