Do you live in one of these areas?

Using data provided by the U.S. Census Bureau, the ACLU has determined that nearly 2/3 of the entire US population (197.4 million people) live within 100 miles of the US land and coastal borders.

The government is assuming extraordinary powers to stop and search individuals within this zone. This is not just about the border: This " Constitution-Free Zone" includes most of the nation's largest metropolitan areas.

I always wondered what authority the border patrol had to stop and search your car. They have a couple of check points set up on the I-8 in California and Arizona.

I did not watch the video before I made my previous post. I also live in San Diego, and have been stopped at other check points on I-8 and others on the back roads like HWY 94. This guy is telling the truth, this shit happens all the time.

What I find concerning here is that they were making stops with an unmarked SUV. In the state of california, law enforcement is not supposed to perform a non felony traffic stop with an unmarked vehicle.

I got hooked-up with a Colombian (non-pro) living on a resident visa in Boston (she's my regular novia now). Last summer we drove up to the White Mountains in New Hampshire with two other (Latino) couples and their kids (in two vehicles) for an extra long weekend outing.

I was amazed when on our way home Homeland Security set up a check-point on the freeway...in the "Live Free or Die State" maybe 75 or 100 miles or even more from the Canadian border. My plates were from the Lone Star State and they spotted me as a gringo with a car full of Latinos (Colombians). "Hmmm, Gomer this must be trouble?"

They pulled both vehicles over and asked a bunch of questions and checked IDs. They ask me what I do for work? I told them I was working in Boston. Then one agent asked, "tell me why you have Texas plates when you are working in Boston, huh?" Before I could answer...his partner said, "cause he must own property in Texas" Then he turned to me and asked, "am I right?" In disbelief that I had just met Forest Gump, I nodded "yes". And actually he was exactly right. I do own property in Texas and I am a Texas resident working on a 36-month contract in Mass. But, what kind of detective work is that? I'm just glad after he looked at his computer he didn't ask where my wife and kids were (they come see me or I go see them every 3-months)...my novia has no idea I am married and we've been dating for an entire year and I sleep with her every Friday and Saturday night at her place.

One of these days I gots sum splainin to dooo Loosey.

And then my novia didn't have her green card. She told him she has one, but she doesn't want to lose it so she keeps it locked-up at home. They lectured her that she is always supposed to have her card. Then they simply let us go.

That was strange. Two-years previously I was sent to secondary while crossing the Mexican-Texas border after visiting Boystown. I thought they were going to lock me up when they saw I had condoms and a small tube of lube in my pocket. That little pretty number that was grilling me was pissed because I didn't have any illegal substances (so she couldn't detain me further)and she knew I was returning from recently sticking my dick in Mexican border town chicas....she had fire in her eyes. I was fearful she might double tap me as I walked away.

Hmmm, I can only wonder what their motivation is...
