Any hombres have recommendations/experiences/plans for New years Eve, Xmas etc?

will be in NY for x-mas but was kind of wondering about tj for new years eve. was just wondering how difficult it would be to get a room without having a reservation. also what about prices???

Last New Year's Eve I stayed at the Rio Rita... I was concerned about the noise level because they were having some sort of street celebracion on Revolucion, but it actually was not an issue...The Hotel was a bit busier than usual but getting a room was not a problem at all...

The stroke of midnight found me at Carreta Bar, but in good conscience I cannot recommend this place as a New Year's Eve destination...I wound-up getting a hug from a mesero and a drunk vaquero...

Adelita Bar on New Year's Eve has traditionally been short on chicas and heavy on Gringos with dazed, shell-shocked looks on their faces...
