I'm intrigued by the recent FDA approval of sildenafil for the treatment of pulmonary hypertension. Here's one article: http://www.mlive.com/business/kzgazette/index.ssf?/base/business-2/1118172009156560.xml

The approved dosage for treatment of this serious disorder is 20 milligrams three times a day. Higher dosages were tried in the experimental groups but did not provide any more benefit. Side effects were the usual blue-tinged vision, headache, and stuffy nose.

Now I'm wondering -- if these really sick people can take a twenty milligram pill three times a day indefinetly, can't an essentially healthy person do the same for short periods of time like on a mongering vacation? That way you could always be in "ready mode."

I'm not advocating using Viagra three times a day. I'm just wondering. Multiple doses a day might be an alternative to Cialis.

During trials Pfizer tried various dosages to determine the most effective range. Dosages of 800mg were tried in ~50 healthy men with no adverse events reported during the higher dosage trials other than increasing frequency and magnitude of the normal side effects (stuffy nose, blue vision, headache ect). Pfizer also determined that dosages above 100mg provided no greater benefit and while not dangerous in healthy men, sometimes increased side effects thus they arrived at the 25/50/100mg dosage for marketing.

If you are healthy you are very unlikely to suffer any problems at all exceeding the recommended dosage. God knows I have tested this theory many times myself when I go on $4 ST binges.

What kind of dosages did you take? Did you notice any benefits to gulping more of the expensive little things?

Deep Thought: What would happen if you had a date lined up here in the US with a hot chick from LOS, and being the gentlemen that most men on this board are, got tickets to a first rate show to impress the girl and get the evening off to a good start. BUT you mistakenly took Viagra before leaving, and the friggin show was a performance of "The Blue Man Group." Could this possibly result in a medical emergency...Just a thought

greg-- not a problem, fuck her silly in the CR during the show.

I use V for purely recreation purposes. The equipment works fine under normal circumstances but you don't think those banzai "weekend in Cambodia" type trips come purely naturally do you. Nothing better than popping 100mg of V and heading for a $4 all you can take brothel district. Woo Hooo!!!!

To me V works better than C and I prefer it. I take 100mg like every 3-4 hours throughout the day on those banzai weekend runs. I probably average 3-4 100mg V's a day on week long trips. Never any side effects other than a red face, and a stuffy nose.

Several ladies have complained it causes vaginal soreness though.

The overdose threshold is high for V. Only if you have preexisting health issues or take certain other medications is it a problem.

I've tried both and I must say they work like a charm. I have no problem getting up and maintaining on my own, but when you really want to prove a point, nothing say it like a C or V. I like C better because it works longer. I had a head ache though, but it was well worth it. I take it way in advance, to help take off some of the edge. I agree with I am Sancho. Don't screw with it if you got health issues.

In Pharmacology, all drugs have two names, a trade name and generic name. For example, the trade name of Tylenol also has a generic name of Acetaminophen. Aleve is also called Naproxen. Amoxil is also called Amoxicillin and Advil is also called Ibuprofen.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that is has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

Pfizer Corp. announced today that VIAGRA will soon be available in liquid form, and will be marketed by Pepsi Cola as a power beverage suitable for use as a mixer. It will now be possible for a man to literally pour himself a stiff one. Obviously we can no longer call this a soft drink, and it gives new meaning to the names of "cocktails," "highballs" and just a good old-fashioned "stiff drink." Pepsi will market the new concoction by the name of: "MOUNT & DO.”

Of course, Viagra is already marketed under a different name in an unusual retail outlet: Auto Zone. Believe it or not, it's in the tire department. They call it: "Fix-A-Flat"...

I've been to Brazil and it is widely noted that you can purchase Viagra over the counter there. Does anybody know of a list of other countries where you can also easily add to your vitamin stash?

Anything in Europe?

Both Peru and Mexico purchases can be made over the counter....

You can purchase over the counter in Colombia as well. However the price varies greatly. I have been quoted $9-10 by one bitch at a drugstore in Medellin

Viagra can be bought in Brazil over the counter.

To be precise, a prescription is needed but in Brazil nobody ever asks for one

Now in Uruguai, GENERIC viagra can be bought over the counter. I know this because a friend bought me a few boxes for a cheap price.

Question: who has a reliable cheap source for generic Viagra.

Even better, who can bring me some to Brazil???

Gentlemen: I would like to hear any of you guys have experience on a widely advertised and expensive product: "Maxoderm", an external used sexual enhancer. Does it work?

All I know is their commercials are annoying...

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a drugstore in Rio that sells Viagra more cheaply than others. (The drugstores I've visited so far are tiny in size and sell it in packages of 4 for about $150 Reals.) For example, are there any large drugstore chains that sell larger qualities cheaply? Or, is there a generic Brazilian equivalent to Viagra that can be purchased in larger qualities?

Yup, that's going out with a bang. The guy was with two women though; that hardly counts as an orgy.

When I bite the big one, I want at least half a dozen babes on hand.

By the way:

http://www.in-pharmatechnologist.com/Industry-Drivers/Viagra-patent-expires-in-June-says-Brazilian-court

Generic Sildenafil is now available in pharmacies here. I think it's about 5 reals a pill. Word is Cialis is coming soon...

By Bwana_dik on Monday, August 16, 2010 - 12:56 pm:  Edit

It will be interesting to see if the official availability of generic Viagra (sildenafil) will drive down prices on Cialis even before Cialis loses its patent protection. This has happened in some other cases where competing medications have lost patent protection at different times. Any evidence of that, GP?

Not sure about Cialis prices coming down. I'm sort of out of the loop on a lot of this stuff and only know what other people tell me. I'll keep my ear to the ground, though.

By Hot4ass2 on Thursday, September 02, 2010 - 08:37 am:  Edit

GREAT NEWS !!! The pharmacist at Walgreens told me that Generic Sildenafil will be available in the United States within the next three months. This will certainly force Pfizer to drop their VIAGRA extortion well below the $21 per tablet that I paid yesterday. Hopefully, this will put a lot of pricing pressure on Cialis and Levitra too.

I checked some Pfizer Viagra prices in Nogales Mexico last week and it was only a few dollars cheaper, although the Mexican Pharmacy also sold Generic Sildenifil at about $6 per tablet.

I do not know anything about the quality or reputation of generic viagra south of the border and I suppose that skeptacism is what allows them to keep the pfizer prices elevated.
