I haven't had the back pain, but constipation seems to be my side effect/curse from taking one a day over several days. Anyone else have this problem and/or a solution?

Regarding back pain...

I picked up a 5-pak sampler of 20mg Cialis from my urologist several months ago. I cut each pill into three, and sometimes four pieces. I always got a strong effect lasting 36-48 hours. I never noticed any side effects until the final two or three doses, which I used in the past few weeks.

I experienced lower back pain after each use. It started about 24 hours after ingestion and continued for 2-3 days. The Cialis commercials on TV caught my ear with the mention of delayed back pain. I thought it might be coincidental because I didn't notice it with the first dozen or more doses. I have a few pills left, so I will try to verify the effect.

It is obvious from this thread that others have noticed this as well.

Anyone know of a reputable source for generic V and C? My previous supplier is no longer available (probably because of spamming issues). Thanks

i want to try cialis, i can get it cheap in colombia, and i have heard good things about it's performance. The only thing that worries me is something called (priapism)or a erection that lasts more than 4 hours, several web sites recommend to seek medical attention. Has this happened to anyone? Should i ask a doctor before buying the stuff.

I stopped Cialis for a few weeks and the back pain disappeared. I tried Cialis again Friday night, had back pain Sunday morning when I woke up. It's not a coincidence. Back to viagra for me. Maybe I'll try Levitra.

Priapism is a VERY rare side effect from all the ED drugs. I have never had it and have never had a patient tell me he had it.

You do NOT want priapism. It is an extrememly painful condition and you would hardly be in the mood to perform. Additionally if not promptly treated it can cause permanent damage to the corpus cavernosum and make future erections impossible. You trade impotence for 4 hours of extreme pain -- nice " golden" side effect.

During my last trip, I stumbled upon an unexpected surprise.

Cialis is available in 10 and 20 mg tablets. I get terrible side effects from 20 mg of Cialis, so I buy the 10 mg. The 10 mg results have been very predictable, if not as impressive as with 20mg.

One day last week I popped 10mg and an hour later I was still lacking that "stand up and take notice" effect, so I popped another. The results were amazing. I had all the good effects of Cialis for 3 days, and with none of the bad. No sinus probs, only a mild flush feeling and no body aches.

Was it because of the dual time release effect from the two tablets? I don't know. I only know that I liked it.

Cut the 20's in half for the same effect. Another option would be to take 10 mg of Cialis and boost it with 10 of Levitra or 25-50 of Viagra as needed.

I tried Cialis for the second time here in Pattaya yesterday. Found a pharmacy that had four tablets for 1300 baht or 34 US. Is that a good price?

The pharmacy across the street from Nana Plaza wanted 2700 baht.

Anyway, I like the effect on the old boner. No side effects for me so far and I get a rock hard and large erection to impale the local Thais with. I took full 20 mg.

The last I took Cialis was my last day in Rio in August 2003. Big mistake that was. I had a raging boner all the way home every time I thought about the experiences I just had.

Funny, DeeG, I always take 10mg of C by cutting 20s in half (ever since you turned me onto C one afternoon in Rio a couple of years ago).

I've never had any side effects... so maybe it was a one time thing the time you had them?

If someone is paying for C versus having an insurance plan pay for them, odds are one can save by cutting 20s in half versus buying 10s.

Probably longer than any of us are gonna live. Ignore any expiration date.

Deeg -- there is no problem cutting any of the Vitamins. The drug companies do not want you to know that because they lose money, but even the companmy reps say there is no problem with cutting the tablet. It does not have any different effect.

I second your warning on priapism. I learned that is to be considered a medical emergency, is that correct? Also, is there any risk of gangrene or is the circulation not impaired at all?

Another question: what are the risk to someone who tries it but has no impotence issues? I only wonder about sexual side effects (know about the low BP, etc). Thanks!

khun, I don't know if you have tried viagra, but if you have, gimme a comparison because i have used viagra and haven't even tried one of the cialis. Viagra for me is pretty good.

Do these compounds work by different mechanisms? Does taking smaller doses of two different ones produce a greater effect than a higher dose of a single one?

DeeG: Just teasing, you know I'm jealous of young studs like you.

All have their effect on the same receptor , but Levitra and Cialis are a bit more specific for the receptor sites in the penis as opposed to the nose and sinuses- thus the fewer side effects.
My experience is that Cialis gives you a lower power but more constant effect and the Levitra boosts it when you need it. Makes more sense than taking extra doses of a steady acting drug- no real benefit there might as well take the 20mg and get it over with. Extra doses of Levitra on top of Levitra will only last 4-5 hours just like the first dose. So a base of Cilais plus boost with other drugs works best for me with least side effects.

This is NOT a medical recomendation and is not recommended by any of the manufacturers. I'm just reporting what works for me and my rationale for doing it. The rest is " Up to you ".

Thanks. I did boost the Cialis with Levitra once during my last Rio trip, it worked well. I'm finding Levitra works better than Viagra now, don't know why--V used to work better (I'm getting old).

BTW, is there any after-effect on one's sexual response after taking a lot of one or another of these over a month or two?

Although I have never noticed a physical response after using these ED drugs, I have definitely noticed a psychological one. I got mentally lazy. And I became afraid.

It's easy to pop a pill and be rock hard. So why spend time working on a mental erection with a girl? Thus the lazy part.

And after tagging hundreds of ladies with Cialis, I became afraid to tag one without the stuff. And lack of confidence is a bigtime erection killer.

So on the past two trips, I've been taking supplements to increase my testosterone levels, and going as long as possible without taking any ED meds. Sometimes I've been a little softer than I'd like (after 3 hours of being hard). But I just laugh with the garotas and ask them if they'd rather get sexier or have me take Viagra? 100% of the time they prefer I not take a supplement. They just rolled up their sleeves and got serious.

Hope there are no other sideeffects from taking that stuff.

BwanaD's updated Rio Guide says you can ge both Vitamin V and Cialis there in Rio at the Pharmacy. I read a post from a local not long ago that said Cialis was not yet available in Rio. Anyone got a confirmation either way?

Don't waste the time/effort/money ordering through the mail. Just go to a pharmacy when you arrive in Rio. When I was there in mid Decemeber I think it was about R$90 for 4 20mg tablets

Propecia is not an ED drug, it is for hair loss and in fact may have a unwanted effect on your libido. Look to Cialis or Levitra.

If you've read up on all the previous post's, I believe the preferred MO is to take a whole, un-cut C, and then follow up 24 hours later with a dose of V or L for a boost!

I'm still cutting them all the time that I do heavy activity days/nights.
1/2 to 2/3 of a 20mg C does me (170lbs) well for 3-5 days (day 5 wouldn't be quite like day 2, but it's still doing me well).

I recently used an ED drug (Cialis) for the first time. I asked my doc for a script, as I am curious if it will help me partake in extra sessions in my upcoming Colombia trip.

I also recently began a sexual relationship with this Chinese girl in New York, which has been good for testing purposes. The results were fantastic, providing for a higher quality erection. I did not rebound any quicker than I usually do, but my erections the next day were also very high quality.

Does anyone know if ED drugs are available generically in Colombia? I'd like to try those out too.

Someone has mentioned ' apcalis ' in a post as an 'indian' drug in place of V and C. He said that it was great and no side effects.

I am posting this over here given some questions and responses on cutting Cialis that were in a trip report:

I just got off the phone with Lily. I told them I had been prescribed 20mg Cialis, but thought I only needed 10mg and would it be ok to cut the pill in half. The rep's response was that they did not recommend it, due to the lack of reliabile distribution of the medication. No mention of time release issue.

Since the labeling does not indicate the tablets can be broken in half, the Lilly reps cannot suggest that. If they do, they are breaking the law and will probably be served with a warning letter from the FDA. Besides the cost is the same per tablet for a 10 mg strength versus the 20 mg strength. It is to Lilly's advantage that you don't take 1/2 tablets.

Unsolicited report on my experience with Cialis (Apcalis):
I do not have ED, but love the ease and length of sexual performance with Vimax (Viagra generic) for the last 3 years. I usually take 1/3 of 100 mg over 3 days for extended fuck session (Fri-Sun for example). If I take more I will have an erection just my walking and the friction from my pants (sounds better than it feels).
I bought the generic Cialis (Apcalis 20mg) in BKK last year and finally got around to try it. I took 1/2 of the pill (10mg) on Thursday, met with GF a few hours later and was initially nervous. With the Viagra a will get wood with even the mildest make-out, but Cialis felt more "real". Only when really turned on it kicked in and gave me better and longer wood.
In contrast to Vimax which makes my dick somewhat less likely to pop early Cialis did not stop me from popping early. However, the wood did not disappear and although I came just kept fucking and after 5 minutes I was fully aroused, but not able to come again. The next day I did not feel the effect much more.
In summary, Cialis has a more subtle onset and does not give wood spontaneously. However, it did not last very long. I paid $8 for 20 Cialis and $5 for 100mg Vimax. With the 100mg I can have 3 days of fun. The 20mg Cialis will not give much more bang.

After a bit of experimenting I decided to no longer do half of a Cialis; three days after taking it and the effects are still present.
But I agree, it doesn't give the raging urgency V does. The longest effect I ever got from V was some residual wood the morning after.
A side effect I can do without is heartburn, which I get from Ci. The heartburn lasts as long as the effect. Taking cimetedine before meals seems to prevent it, for the most part.

It was not that much for shipping. For the quantity I ordered they only accept payment via Western Union. Most of that $29 was in WU fees. I think the shipping was $5 or so.

I've been in Cambodia in July for 2 weeks. I was looking for Apcalis and Viagra generic. I went to a pharmacy in Phnom Penh and I was very surprise to find both. But the deal here is the price.
Apcalis: 20 mg is $7.20 USD for a box of 4!!! Yes $1.80 each. I've been in Thailand for the last 6 months and cannot find them as lower than $4.00 each.

52 here & deal with high B/P & ED. Tried Viagra first, and don't care for the side effects. Flushing & made me feel very hyperactive, almost like some sort of speed...

Been taking Cialis for a couple of years & am happy with the results. Major wood, although you have to plan a bit ahead. At least for me it doesn't work immediately, needs an hour or so to "pump you up".

My script is for the 20MG, which I always break in half. Gives me two to three days of solid plank. However, am headed to LOS this winter for 14 days of olympic action, and might up the dosage as needed.

I have an old martial arts injury which causes frequent muscular back pain, and the C seems to increase it. To fight back, I counterbalance the C with a Skellaxin, and all is good for 8 hours or so.

All in all, I prefer C to V. And side effects are worth the payoff in the end...

I was very disappointed to see Viagra in Thailand costs basically about the same as I pay here (ordering from Canadian pharmacy). It was within a dollar a pill to what I pay.
