Levitra May Help When Viagra Lets You Down
Thu Oct 9,10:30 AM ET
LONDON (Reuters) - Nearly half of men who did not respond to Viagra achieved successful sexual intercourse when given rival drug Levitra, researchers said on Thursday.
Results of their 463-patient study, which was sponsored by Bayer AG and GlaxoSmithKline Plc, the makers of Levitra Bayer and GSK, will be presented on October 11 at a meeting of Sexual Medicine Society of North America in Denver.
The study showed that 46.1 percent of men who had failed at least four of the last six attempts at intercourse while on Viagra were successful when given Levitra. That success rate was three times greater than the 16.1 percent seen among men taking placebo.

I was told by my cardiologist in Manila (American trained, and he does seem to know what he is talking about, at least on cardiac subjects) that a man may become "tolerant" of Viagra--i.e., it worked before, but no longer works, much like the effect that alcohol can have. He suggested that Levitra or Cialis works to replace Viagra, at least in some cases.
Levitra certainly did work in my case, although Viagra had failed. If you're having that problem, I recommend you try it.
BTW, does anyone know about the generic versions of Livitra? Are they safe? Effective? I found one that is made in India--very cheap for larger quantities: 30 tablets, $4.998 each; 90 tablets, $4.11 each; 150 tablets, only 3.33 each; and for the truly optimistic, 250 tablets, only $2.80 each. I ordered 4, just to see if they will work--hope they're safe.

Levitra has a somewhat greater specificity for the PDE receptor in your dick as opposed to the receptors found in your nasal pasages etc. thus it's fewer side effects and perhaps greater efficacy. For all intents and purposes they are intechangable but some guys may have better results with Levitra as your doc indicated. Never heard of Viagra tolerance though.Have read nothing in American medical literature about that.
Don't know anything about generic knockoffs. I'm bombarded with sample drugs -- much to my benefit !!

I've noticed that after using viagra about 15 times over a two year period that it doesn't produce much effect. In the begining it was amazing but I now consider it a waste of money and also it tends to make me feel a bit dazed.

I too am starting to believe that Viagra is loosing its effectiveness on me (plus I feel tired and have to yawn a lot while coming off it). Levitra has been working better.

Has anyone priced Levitra in Tijuana? I know it's available and I'd like to try it once.

Yes, I think it is generally 140 pesos for real Levitra. I think it works better than Viagra. Cialis does not work for me at all.

I have been happy with switching from V to Cialis. Have not tried Levitra yet. V was always an adventure timing the dosage. Cilais as advertised can be taken with lunch and you are good for 24 hours.
I still use V for the first night of a trip, especially after a long flite. It is quicker to react, whereas C is more natural. There are very noticable reductions in effectiveness for both drugs based on alchohol intake. V seems a lttle more resiliant to that.

Does anyone know if Levitra is available in Rio? and at what cost?
By Gitano on Thursday, February 17, 2005 - 05:19 pm: Edit |
L is most certainly available in Rio. All three of the main woody drugs are available over the counter without a prescription in most any Pharmacy. Pricing is not drastically different for any of them and is comparabale to US pricing. Better pricing can be found at internet med sites, but obviosuly you need to be carefull with these.

I took Cialis one of the first times on a full stomach, it didn't work at all (maybe I was having a bad day). Ever since, I've taken it at least an hour before eating, and it's worked just fine. Also, in my experience, Viagra doesn't work if taken within a few hours of eating, but Levitra does work, although it takes longer to take effect than on an empty stomach.

Can a person buy Cialis without a prescription at a big Mexican pharmacy like Benavides? How much would a box of four 20 mg tabs cost in US dollars? Thanks...

I started to use Viagra in 2001 when I actually HAD erectile dysfunction. Trouble was, within 6 months I became tolerant to it (See Scotsman's post above) and so I tried Cialis. This works for me. Nothing like the intial rigid effects of Viagra though. Luckily my ED has mostly gone now - probably just a bad patch for me or something. Never tried Levitra though. Is this also a Silenfil Citrate? I'm in Rio later this month so I guess I'll try it and mabe Viagra again to see if my body has "forgotten" it! If it has I'll post the results - Hell, I'll post them anyway!!
I hope to find a really, really REALLY thin girl in Rio cos that's what I like! A collection of bones. Anyone know a good one I could seek out?

Maybe it wasn't the viagra that made your heart pound. Maybe it was the speed you take that causes you to write multiple posts in an agitated and incomprehensible style.

Levitra 20 mg has let me down a couple times. Got wood, but it did not last long. Main problem may be that I am still too fat and blood pressure is high again.
Had a petite pre-baby cutie in Nogales, so no fugly factor involved. Looks like I really need to get in shape to justify my virgin trip to LOS in September.
Doctor gave me Cialis 20 mg samples and I will have to try 100 mg viagra too. It may also be a matter of learning which one works best for you.
By Kerouac on Sunday, June 17, 2007 - 04:47 pm: Edit |
The best strategy is to find the one that works for you but also be prepared to shop around. For some folks there does seem to be some tolerance. No one knows why. Levitra generally causes less sinus problems because it is more specific to receptors in your jock tallywackle, as accurately noted above.
I would not say this to medical personnel, but the Indian generics are ALMOST as good and much cheaper.

I'm starting to experiance some side effects from Cialis and don't like the stuffy feeling I get from Viagra. Anyone got a good inexpensive source for Levitra?
Thanks

Actually, just get a prescription for 20mg and buy it at Walmart. It ends up being around $13-$14 a pill, compared to $19 or so at Walgreens and the other pharmacies. This way you know what you are getting. Then get a pill splitter and make two out of them - 10mg ends up working out to $7 or so. In Brazil Levitra tends to around $19 a pill - If you are lucky and find the 8 pack it comes to about $15-$16.00.

Viagra works great for me, especially the generic stuff. Bought from here several times and works great http://viagragenerics.longlovetabs.com
Tried Levitra once, did not notice any effect. Nor did Cialis do much for me, again tried it only once.
You can get all the prescription ED drugs in Brazil without problems, but they cost the full price you pay in the US, over R$ 20 per Viagra pill. No generics here. If they try to sell you something that looks like a cheaper generic, it is some herbal crap that I would not use.
Generic Viagra is legal in Uruguai, I once had a guy bring me some from there .........

I have used Viagra, Cialis and Levitra......the one that works the best is Levitra. You can now buy Levitra in 40mg.
