Anyone even considering using andro should buy it now. The FDA is in the process of banning its manufacturing and sales.
Also, if anyone has experience with this stuff, I would like to know about it. I am going to buy some today, but want to know more before taking it.

I tried a bottle of this (60 capsules).
Results:
Muscle mass: maybe some benefit but not much different than other times I've worked out hard.
Energy Level: I felt great the whole time I was taking it. It's very subtle and positive energy though, not like taking coke or anything.
Testicles: Couldn't bring myself to wrapping a set of calipers around them, but no noticeable shrinkage.
Acne: a few pimples that I haven't had since I was a teenager. Nothing to get excited about.
Breast enlargement: None
Hairloss: None (that hasn't already been lost)
Libido: Subtle increase
Aggressive behaviour: Not that I noticed.
The most noticeable effect was when I stopped taking it. My energy level just wasn't what it was with it.
I still don't know about long term effects. I think I will talk to a doctor before I consider taking it again.

Good to know. I was thinking about trying it as testosterone levels start decreasing at 26. But just in 3 week stretches or whatever was recommended. Ever try creatin? What do you think?
By Tryer on Wednesday, April 28, 2004 - 09:46 pm: Edit |
I have tried creatin. It does help minimally in muscle recovery. But no energy benefit.
And I have to add that after several weeks off of andro, I am appreciating what it does more. Working out is very draining on my body without it, even the muscles I am not working.
I think I will buy more now just in case I will use it again; Congress passed the first steps in a committee/subcommittee to ban things like this. Who knows if it will pass the whole of congress.

Andro is supposed to be one of the precursors to testosterone. The theory being that your body will miraculously convert it into more testosterone. Unfortunately it doesnt work. There is no objective evidence available showing it does anything.
Creatine will cause your cells to hold a little more water which will make you bigger and a little stronger, but you are right--no energy benefit. Actually you may feel tired since you will carry around an extra 5 to 8 pounds.
If you want added testosterone buy ... umm.. testosterone. It is available in Mexico and Brazil in many different forms. Something to keep in mind however is that your body will try to keep your testosterone and estrogen levels in equilibrium. Which means if you artificially raise your testosterone level your body will produce more estrogen in order to keep the equilibrium. When this happens you have the risk of undesirable side effects such as breast development (can be painful). A way to prevent this is to take Tamoxifen which suppresses estrogen levels.
You are much better off learnign how to eat. Accepting genetic limitations, the appearance of your body is 75% determined by eating habits, the other 25% is excercise. Therefore, you can make the most difference be eating right. Start by eating clean (cut out bread and sugar...includes candy, cake and junk food). Then try eating more meals, perhaps 5 healthy meals a day.

Andro was the first of these "prohormones" to come out. Since then many others that are more potent are out there. The hormone that would probably most benefit in the sex drive and erection department would be 4-ad. Check out 1fast400.com for all those hormones before they get banned. Which might be any day now.

They arent hormones, and they dont work so dont crash your car hurrying to beat the ban.

"Hormone man" GCL: Any opining on tribulus terrestris or horny goat weed? Or am I just going to have to age gracefully?
By Gcl on Friday, April 30, 2004 - 09:43 pm: Edit |
Well I hope I can age as gracefully as you. However, I have a lot of years to go before I am in your shoes...but I digress...
You can take Human Growth Hormone and it will make a lot of changes...all desirable. You will look and feel younger. Even your skin will look younger. You inject it subcu with a very small needle. Anyway, it will cost hundreds of bucks a month, but well worth it to some people. You can find a doctor to subscribe it.
Another thing you can do is testosterone supplementation. The real deal is available in Mexico, and Brazil. Hell, it is available in the US as well but it happens to be illegal there. Deca-Durabolin and Sustanon are a couple of the more popular ones. I dont recommend using them though.

Check the link and check the structure class. Like I said this is the first and weakest one out. There are more potent ones out now.

I wouldn't say andro doesn't work. I would say it works subtly. The government and our baseball friend certainly think it works.
The side effects are evidence that it is working as a hormone.

I have some Andriol which is a testosterone replacement I got while I was in Thailand. It's not as strong as some of the supplements but it is great for us mongers who like to screw 2-3 girls a day. I took Andriol and I felt like a porn star, I had a morning wood all afternoon. Also it helped me workout while in Thailand, I went to the gym everyday. The only problem with Andriol is you may gain some water weight if you drink alot of fluids.
