Well here I am at day three. Coincidentally, 3 pounds are gone! Speaking of weight, yes I want to drop 25 pounds, but that is not THE objective. The objective is to live a little healthier and in the process shed some unwanted pounds. win-win.
Phase 1 last two weeks and is a fairly strict phase in that many of the foods I ate daily are gonzo. No pizza, manicotti, ravioli, baked ziti, fresh bagels, warm french bread, banana nut bread, orange/banana smoothies, hell even my Total cereal in the morning is whacked. So I've settled into the SB routine thus far:
breakfast:
multi vit
water
Omelet:
2 scrambled eggs (use olive oil for lube)
diced slice of canadian bacon
fresh diced tomato
snack:
celery sticks, skim milk cheese stick, OR some unsalted pistachios
water
Lunch:
garden salad with olive oil and balsamic v.
water/no sugar soda
snack:
one of the three I didn't consume in the morning
water/no sugar soda
dinner:
steamed green veggies (usually broc. as I like it a lot)
and either grilled chicken or some type of decent fish cut-- season it up nicely with spices (NOT salt)
water
snack:
no-sugar jello
That's the routine for a couple weeks, and I can change out pieces and main courses here and there.
So far, I've not deviated from the plan and sometimes feel better and sometimes just wish I had a pizza in front of me. However, after I walk, I do indeed feel much better when compared to before the program.
