I gained a little weight recently, so I consulted a BMI calculator to see how far I fell behind. This one I found is a newer one than I've used before.
http://www.halls.md/body-mass-index/av.htm
I like this one better than others I've used. This one provides a comparison to other males in the same height and age range.
Being close to overweight (BMI 24.2) was a bummer and has motivated me to get back on my exercise/diet track, but at least I'm doing well relative to many others in my range. I'm at the 37th percentile, meaning that 63% of men at my height and age weigh more than I do. (for Americans)

I just tried this calculator. I was at a BMI of 21.1
at the 4th percentile (I'm 56) So what.
As long as your happy with what's looking back at you in the mirror in the morning and feel good that's all that counts. Doesn't seem to matter at all to the ladies of topic here.

God damn it!! I went to that site, put in my weight, minus a few pounds for good measure, and hit the magic button, telling it to compute my BMI. All I can say is that the fucking computer must be broken because it came back 26.1 and placed me in the "overweight" category.
Many thanks for fucking up my Holidays!
Is that why MBL tells me I'm gordo? She told me it meant SEXY.

CB,
Tell me it calculates too high, please! Don't say a word if it's too low; I don't want to ruin my Holidays.

I do hope it is not correct and calculates too high. Otherwise I am officially obese.

Improving one's health improves one's self-image, and consequently has a positive effect on one's sexual experiences, paid or not. While not an overriding factor, taking care of oneself physical pays off, even in P4P.
When you look at yourself in the mirror everyday, it's often hard to notice subtle increases in weight. When you get busy, it's easy to take a reading on your overall health and appearance after a period of time and be surprised by the results.
BMI calculators are only rough estimates and they say so. All they factor in is gender, age, height, and weight. Since they can't account for body type, muscle mass, etc..., they will be off for many people, but for most people they should give a rough estimate of where one is healthwise.
I take my health and fitness a bit more seriously than most, I think, and I believe it pays off. I've also just invested in a Tanita BC533 after reading a recommendation from Maxim. This advanced scale measures Body Fat%, Water %, Muscle Mass, Metabolic Age, Bone Mass, and other factors. Using this information I hope to target my diet and excercise regimen more specifically and maintain above average health for many years to come.
