Since recovering from cancer (Gastric Lymphoma) in 1999, I've been reasonably healthy up until now. In the past few months I've been diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes, Chronic Cellulitis of the lower legs, Venal Insufficiency, and Secondary Polycythemia.
I did an Internet search looking for others with most or all of the same diseases. Three articles popped up. Two of them didn't sound particularly relavent.
The third rang a bell. Between 25 and 30 years ago, I took on the role of a 33 year old sugar daddy to an 18 year old kept mistress. I spent about a quarter of my time over a six month period in her Greenwich Village walkup apartment - a real dump with shitty pipes and plumbing.
The girl in the article was my former mistress.
Now that I found her after all of these years, she has almost all the same medical issues. None of these are supposed to be contagious. Its all either a big coincidence (bullshit I say to that), or some real nasty environmental shit was going on in that place.
The girl was kind of reluctant to talk to me at first as I was kind of an asshole when we split up. (Something about me knocking up her best friend after telling the hapless girl I'd had a non-existant vasectomy.) My former mistress has been doing some research on her medical issues, and now appears to want to team up. She just found out that she may have breast cancer as well.
Any advice or suggestions. Looks like an on-topic discussion as I was supporting her in exchnage for favors. Looks like I may have bought more than I was counting on.
Thanks,
E-C-J

Could it have been the Greenwich village apartment with the bad pipes and plumbing, people in Hong Kong got Bird flu because of the same sewage pipes running inside every ones kitchen of there apartments.
