I think birth control pill usage in Thailand is very high and most of the ladies I have talked to seem knowledgeable on the topic. There is also somewhat wide spread usage of Depo-Provera and also a black market Chinese "once a month" birth control pill that I researched only because Lao girl 2 was using that here in the US and it sounded fishy to me. Apparently it is actually extremely effective albeit only proven safe by Chinese standards. Once a month pills are not even legal in Thailand but readily available under the counter and a lot of ladies use them. Cambodia and Laos is wide spread too. Funny you mention Argentina because that is the only other country on the planet outside of China where the "once a month" pills are legal and approved by the government.
