Picking bargirl in Thailand

This might sound like a silly question. But I'm going to Thailand soon and am trying to find all the info I can. I have read alot about Thailand women and saving face. I'm wondering how you handle girls coming up to you at your table and talking for a while then seeing another girl you would like to be with. Are the girls as aggressive as girls here in strip clubs where they continue to come up to you uninvited begging for drinks. I would not like to have a bargirl not save face but on the other hand I would like to pick a girl of my choosing.
