New Years is the peak of the tourist season. Best weather-- no rain cooler temps. Christmas and Farang New Years are NOT Buddhist holidays so the girls go nowhere. Do celebrate Christmas sorta. Many girls wear Santa hats - friggin Christmas music everywhere. Drives you crazy after a while. Other than the extra tourists and slightly higher prices in Hotels- Dec thru Feb is the best time to be in Thailand.
