Travel agents are going the way of the dinosaurs these days with online travel and the airlines cutting commissions taking a lot of the profits away. Travel agents don't make a lot of money anymore. One potential option - a friend of mine in the travel business is now a sales guy for some hotels in Montego Bay. His customers? Travel agents and corporate travel managers. His job is to convince them to send vacation customers to his hotels and to try and get small conventions, sales/marketing incentive trips, etc from the corporate guys.
