Reasons to consider NOT going to Haiti include:
1. Incredibly high AIDS rate
2. Horrible poverty, even by caribbean standards
3. Extremely dangerous and violent, far more so than Columbia
4. Creole is neither french nor easy to understand.
If you decide to go anyways, please post an announcement in the trip calendar section of the board so I can start laying odds against your success.
Better yet - come to South Florida - you can have all of the hatians you want.
