Any info on the Hotel Inbtercontinental in San Jose

Just made a last minute plan to spend a couple of nights in Costa Rica transiting through San Jose - went for the points, and thinking you can't go wrong at the Intercon.
Anyone have info on the situation there vis a vis mongering? For that matter, I'll be arriving about One AM and flying out early. Any suggestions on the fastest route for an interlude during my quick stay?
