The fellow intended to disprove the existence of ghosts (or at least offer an explanation as to what we *think* are ghosts). He started by asking everyone who believed in the supernatural to raise their hands. Most of the crowd did as this was a liberal arts university, after all. Then he asked how many of those believed in ghosts. Only a few hands came down. He asked how many had ever *seen* a ghost. Most of the hands came down, but a surprising number were still up. “How many of you have actually *touched* a ghost, then?” he asked. A few hands remained up and you could see he was a bit put off by this. “OK, how many of you have had *sex* with a ghost?” All but one hand came down, some foreign looking guy in the back. “You mean to tell me,” the lecturer directed to the guy, “that you have had sexual relations with a corporeal entity, a supernatural being, an ectoplasmic life form? You mean to tell me you have made love to a *spirit*?” The guy slowly puts his hand down, looking around, very embarrassed. “Sorry, sorry,” he responds, “I’m being thinking you been saying ‘goat.’”
