| You are better off establishing price upfront with cabbies. If you hand them 5 bucks and walk off they can and sometimes DO try and browbeat you into paying more. It's not like they can actually DO anything to you, but if you are in the mood to avoid confrontation, all it takes is a 5 second conversation ahead of time. If he doesnt want your 5 bucks, there are 50 others that will.
