| I see your point Erip and I would tend to agree. The only reason I would see for a "strongly" moderated board is for the moderator/owner's benefit himself. That is how much he can tolerate. I think you either let it (almost) completely laissez-faire like you said or employ very, very strong moderation. To be halfway won't work! While I too appreciate greatly the work NC has done I frankly am a little disappointed the way he closed down the board. It's true that he was no longer THAT interested in TJ, the timing of the closure of the board gave the impression that he simply gave in. That he simply capitulated to the flamers and troublemakers. I was hoping he would be "stronger" than that: either strong enough to ignore the garbages and just think of it as a cycle OR strong enough to "show 'em who's the boss!". If I was him I'd have put my foot down LOT sooner and THEN close the board down at my own choosing at my own time. TOO BAD THE BAD GUYS WON...
