(just checked the FAQ again today) To me, preemptive banning is akin to book burning. But, as anyone who's been around for even a week will attest, I am a firm believer in community ethics and rules of behavior in Any community. However, this is NOT my board. All of us are guests of TJ Hombre. This is his house, and we can suggest guidelines for rules and behavior, and we can suggest ideas that we have, but the final decision truly is that of TJH, alone. And, I RESPECT the role that he has taken in givning us all a new home for our conversations. It is my firm belief that Anyone who breaks the ethics of this community should expect to be admonished by the community and it's leaders. (In this case TJH) However, I agree with BP and the others that moderation is un-needed and a bad thing. At one point, someone asked for people to post their suggestions for 'rules' for a new board. (yes, I realize that this was not requested by TJH) But, I'm wondering if TJH is planning on posting some behavior guidelines. TJH?? One request of EVERYONE. Let us NOT turn this into a fight or flame war! State your opinion. Concider those of others and let's move on to the real reason this board exists. TJ & La Zona!!
