Man, and we say that las chicas can be bitchy!?! Not to put down Ritmo, or Krico, but you guys have one way of dealing with your activities in TJ. People like T$, and many of the "old guard", is used to having the opportunity to meet -n- greet at least some of the people with whom he interacts with on the board. NEITHER OF THESE TWO SCHOOLS OF THOUGHT ARE INCORRET. Some have their reasons not to interact with people when in TJ. And, that's fine. All of the reasons thus far stated are legit, and I'm sure that there are many more reasons to deal with things in this manner. Other guys are okay about meeting up with people that they meet from the board. And, that's fine, too. For their own reasons, these guys have little or no issue personally interacting with people from the list. My point here is that NOBODY should be critical of Anyone for following either of the MOs. It's a personal preference thing. It's just like some guys do SGs. Some don't. Some get BBBJs. Some don't. Those of us who have been around the boards for some time are used to being able to meet a guy on the board, and then buy him a beer in the bar. It was a fun level of camaraderie' that we all enjoyed. And, for the most part, I believe that the current 'closed society' attitude is blamed for the lack of that camaraderie. Similarly, I believe that most blame the lack of ethics and confidentiality for the missing trust. One way or the other, the only way any of this will change is with the build up of trust, and a willingness to risk. This can only come with time, Some guys will trust more quickly than others. No biggie. Each person should be free to determine his or her own comfort level. I've made some good friends through the boards. And, I am glad that I risked a little bit to meet these guys. It was my choice, and nobody else's. And, every member of this board should have the right to make up their own mind. For those of you who decide to meet up with board members,….first beer is on me.
