yo, it sucks being pulled into secondary like that. i've never had that happen to me (except in mexico when my station wagon was too heavy). what sucks is that you have very limited 4th amendment search and seizure rights at the international border. the inspectors do need some sort of probable cause and strong suspicion, but the standard THEY use in practice is so lax that they can pretty much search anyone. im sure they employ profiling techniques (which are bullshit because at any given time one of us could fit that bullshit profile), and thats probably what happend in your case. cs
