Police activity in the Zona varies from day-to-day in an unpredictable manner. He who searches the most gringos gets extra ammo at the shooting range." or something like that. Wait'll you experience your first club raid by the "Special Forces"...then you'll know you ain't in Kansas no more... Perennial man-on-the-street, Texas Mike, hit me up for lunch money last week, and warned me that the cops were specifically looking for opportunities to search gringos suspected of being involved in "drug deals"...He was so uptight about it that he didn't want anybody to see that I was giving him a few pesos.
