You are clearly so goddam obsessed with this issue. You are NOT going to get a definitive answer asking a bunch of horny dipshits on this board, which is basically what we are. We have told you what we have heard and understand and you keep badgering everyone for absolute proof, and getting nasty because we don't have it. YOU WON'T GET IT HERE!!! YOU WON'T GET IT HERE!!! If you have no problem shooting a corrupt cop $40, you shouldn't have a problem paying a lawyer (probably cheaper than the cop) to find out the real deal. By the way, most cops would be delighted with $20. As for you guys that like to pay bribes, yes, you are totally rewarding and encouraging cops to seek them and harass americans. It's bad for you, bad for Tijuana, and bad for Mexico. It makes you less of a man in my opinion. For me, I will stand my ground, at least if I haven't done anything wrong. I would then go to the tourist kiosk and/or the police station to talk with the captain and inform him of what happened. Unless the circumstances are turly extraordinary, I am not going to hand over my hard-earned money to a stupid, ignorant, corrupt dipshit cop. And for good reason. Corruption is NOT officially tolerated in Tijuana and cops have been and continue to be fired for doing it. Lots of veterans on this board have held there ground and been just fine. I have yet to hear a single horror story of someone who refused to pay a bribe when they hadn't done anything wrong. But if you want to roll over faster than an AB girl, sure, go ahead. I am not going to discuss your overly-nervous, penis-holding approach to this problem anymore. If you are that worried about it, stay home. Over and out.
