Gentlemen; I will tell you to stop reading now if you are looking for a story involving ladies. The reason I post this is I found (on RedSnakes Board, where I posted under Jimbo, alas someone has taken that here.) That this could be a board for some discussion of the human psyche and some members advice here is very deep and insightful. I basically just need to get this out and some of you no doubt will have comment, I apologize again to be very off topic, This involves Laredo/ Nuevo Laredo but beyond that not much. First I am 28, as was my friend we had been friends for he better part of our lives. We both live in Tennessee, and I have to say I was just bored as hell one night and found the World Sex Guide on the net. I read some interesting parts on Nuevo Laredo, and I have never shied away from patronizing Prostitutes since my days as a young Marine in San Diego. I thought hey sounds like Disneyland down there woo-hoo type thing so A long weekend and a relatively cheap flight to Laredo (I think it's like $350 from Atlanta here I live in East Tennessee which is like 2 hours from Atlanta)I had never been there and he had not either, he had never really patronized prostitutes or done that whole thing, Well long story short we both enjoyed it and made several more trips (Again he & I where getting down there about once every month every 6 weeks you know depending on if there was a long weekend finances etc...) I can say that BTW, if you have stuck with me this far and you need opinions or information on Laredo I will be happy to tell you what I know, Although my days of going there are probably over I think. Well Anyway long story short, My friend Chris Got a divorce this past summer (yes we are both married, I know the comments that could come here, but all I will say is we both pursued the idea (I still do I guess ) that you are married you have a small child, you married that girl from the sorority, you stick with her, but hey a little guys time and meaningless sex with attractive Mexican women, who you could care less about = good times) Really nasty divorce etc.... big chunk of his income for child support, his situation got real bad, lost job, sleeplessness, declared bankruptcy etc... Well I mean I thought I was being a good friend etc...Thought he needed a getaway clear his head, so thanks to American Airlines and Visa I just flew us down there for a long weekend try to clear his head I thought, you know forget about problems, get laid, have some beer watch football for a long weekend. Well about 2 weeks ago he goes missing, I mean this guy is like my brother and I talk to him every day you know? So after like 4 days I am getting a little concerned no one at his apartment (I can't see in the windows) so I work for the DA's office here (yes a prosecutor who likes whoring around again I am sure there are a thousand comments there) so I get a cop I know to just kind of persuade the apartment manager to open the door, well anything of value that could be quickly pawned (read electronics etc...) have been. Okay panic mode, I mean I know this is not a guy in the best frame of mind to begin with, I start going into Panic mode. I mean I go as far as to quickly to pay a guy I know who can find things, nothing...It even occurs to me to call the Rio Grande Plaza by Bridge 1 there which is where we normally stay. Well Friday I got a Fed-Ex package and no shit Gentlemen my heart stopped where I saw where from: Laredo Texas. Well I opened it and my friend had taken everything he owned his last paycheck (he had about $2000) and spent two fun filled weeks in Laredo, before writing out these notes that he fed-exed to me, his mother, wife and attorney. HE told me not to be upset he had spent two of the best weeks in paradise, that I showed him. (Boys Town) he had a great two weeks down there ate what he wanted, without fear of gaining weight, Fucked beautiful girls, and took hydro-codeine to stay happy. Slept late, you know basically just lived care free, with out fear of consequences, Well Thursday Morning he went to Mexico and bought (90 Valiums and 45 hydro-codeine and went back to his hotel room. he took them all apparently and died. (Is there a doctor here or some one who can give advice obviously this shit can kill you I just did not know it could that is are drugs that can kill you? in that amount?) I could not find him because he was staying at some dive hotel in Laredo ($159 a week I found out) and took a Grey Hound down there in which you do not have to give out your real name. The point is I feel real bad about showing him this place, I mean you just can't walk into a doctors office here and get those drugs in those quantities.) and well I don't know just pretty upset by this whole thing. I guess my general question is, does this crap happen often to you guys who live down there? I mean in the local paper some guy flies in from Omaha (or where ever) and have fun for a week, then go buy drugs that you can buy like Tylenol here (I mean Loricet is a fairly powerful drug right? I am not supper educated in that department) Any advice or comment on this long thing would be very appreciated, and my apologies to those members and our moderator for me posting a personal tale that has really nothing to do with the subject matter of the board. |
