Not that I'm trying to figure out where anybody lives, but you guys must get up mighty early or live on the East Coast to be postin' this early. Christ, I just rolled out of the rack, on the left coast and I see you boys have already hit the board.

Ritmo: Just for fun, I ran your good French through the Babelfish translator on Altavista. It really mangled it, (Try it!) thus creating the illusion of "bad French". Usually, there's an explanation for everything. The use of this translator probably explains the accusation of "bad French", as Bablefish turns "good French" into "bad English" which then gets interpreted by a human being as "bad French".

Now, if only those Mexicans would learn English...we could finally figure'em out.

As for BillyPV, every time I read his post about "This board and new friends" I just about fall out of my chair laughing. Try reading it out loud in a sort real persuasive soft-sell, "radio announcer's voice". Read it like a commercial voice-over. Play some happy music in the background. Tell me you don't start laughing. It's saturated with that "we're concerned about you" insurance ad tone. I think it's the funniest post I've read on this board so far...and I love to laugh. Obviously, BillyPV is making the case that it's sooooooo much more FUN!if one goes to the Zona with GOOD FRIENDS! that one meets on PROSTITUTION BOARDS! here on the INTERNET! It's as if BillyPV were none other than Billy Budd!...the naive, innocent, child-like sailor of Melville's morality tale. (And I do apologize for the literary allusion...but it's such a good fit in my mind. It's tough to shake one's book larnin'...)

And Nomar, I'm glad you personally caught the irony of your accusations towards Ritmo and me as "conspiracy theorists". Not more than a few minutes after you make that particular post, who but the mastermind, the grand unmentionable of all conspiracies contacts you and requests your electronic presence. I got a good laugh out of that too...I mean, let's not get too obvious here, okay. Get those cells co-ordinated, okay? Make sure that "subterranean" stays "sub"...

The Jefferson quote was meant to point out that in order to protect the exquisite freedom of posting without being habitually harangued by monomanical, self-serving poobahs is to watch for their ominous presence. Did I catch a little harangue in your messages there?

StrikeEagle: Yes we do post on this board by the grace of TJH, but what is a country without citizens? What is a board without posters? What is a country that is an expansive democracy versus what is a country that is a repressive, totalitarian state? Any of us that make thoughtful posts contribute to the value of this country set-up essentially as a naked nation by TJH. The citizens make the country. Look at the "mass migration" that took place from RS when TJH offered to set up a new board...why, it was like the huddled masses, yearning to be free (from certain caustic trends)couldn't wait to establish a new nation, a nation free from the opressive harangues and doctrines of a certain influence.

Finally, nobody as far as I can tell has said that BillyPV is anything other than the sweet, lonesome lad that he is...(and you can bet that I'm chuckling right now as I write this...I have a vison in my mind of a callow youth, lanky and towheaded, wearing denim overalls and too-short sport coat, meandering amongst the street girls with his new good friends and guides...kind of like the rube who visits NYC for the first time. One for all and all for one, they bellow, as they hoist their steins of cerveza in a boisterous toast). I look forward to his posts.

Also, that Rosarito Beach Hotel is real popular. I'd book in advance. I tried to get in one time, and the lines at the concierge's desk were huge. The tourist buses use the lot next to the hotel as a terminus.
