Red, What a great story!...I didn't know the New York Club was around that long. One thing I really like about Mexico and Mexican culture is it's dedication to "showbiz", with a lower case "S"...I mean people can make a living in showbiz without having to be some superstar. Vanessa (CC) was trained dancer ( it shows during her strip act, for sure...). Another thing they got going down there is that they remember ya...just like the bartender remembered the dancer. A year or so ago there was a standup comedian workin' AB, a ventriloquist...the usual army of stripping prostitutes, and of course La Loca. Also, a surpirsing number of hookers at AB have other jobs...cutting hair! Great stuff, R... |
