Good advice BP.

Going with a large ISP does mean that your IP address comes from a bigger pool of addresses, but it can still be used to point a finger, if someone REALLY wants to track you down.

Creating a separate e-mail account via Hotmail, Yahoo, or any other web based mail service is another good distancing method.

Also, not using your handle in face to face activities is a good idea. I know that I've broached this guideline a few times, but suspect that only a handfull of guys know my first name AND my handle. Still, if I was one who wanted total security in this, I'd never use my handle in face to face meetings, and I'd never use my name on the net.

I know that on many boards the 'profile' info is usually left blank by most people, and I'd suggest that this, too, is a good practice to follow.

Sorry to hear about the TSM board being hacked. It really goes to show how much you have to think about where you sign up and what info you do give out when you do.
