Well speaking as a guy who worked doors for close to eight years (off and on...between tending bar and doing the sound and lights) on San Francisco's Broadway ..... "Where's your ID buddy?" Seriously it's can be a rough job but I loved it. I talk to Fernando sometimes (former doorman at HK now waiter at La Tropa) and he feels the same way, the excitement and real "show" is on the street...being in the club used to be a drag for me. Working a door can have it's drawbacks though...you don't really have breaks so your feet kill ya till ya build up your "doorman" legs, when it's cold or raining you freeze your ass off. As for the attitude thing, I seriously doubt they hate ya cuz you buy and sell their women...they lack respect for us cuz we're suckers. They have the same attitude and same amount of respect for us as the girls do.
