I appreciate the "heads up" on Flor. I always figured her as someone who talked a lot of nonsense, but then, my Bullshit detector hasn't been operating very well lately and is in serious need of re-calibration. Whether her info. was accurate or not, it was only a symptom of a deeper problem--my lack of any real commitment to La Fave. In a funny way, Flor did me a favor by forcing me to confront that fact. As to the Hotel Coahuilla, you are correct about the normal hotel policy. And the regular desk clerk on Thur-Sun wouldn't let us use her room. So for a long time I would come to TJ only on Tue-Wed nights, and the other desk clerk would just collect the $10 room fee and that was that. I don't know if they're enforcing the policy more strictly now. I guess I'll find out when she comes back from vacation.
