Are an excellent deal if you will be doing some serious drinking in one bar, and with a table full of amigos it can be a lot of fun. The cost will vary by bar, but the most popular brands of tequila, Hornitos and Cazadores (I slightly prefer the latter) should run you right about 400 pesos, which can be anywhere from 40-45 bucks. As mentioned, they throw in bottles of soda, agua mineral and ice, and all of these will be replenished if you run out. You spend that kind of scratch in one pop and they WILL take care of you. I usually tip the waiter 3 bucks when buying a bottle of tequila -- I spend Tomas' money freely :) -- and that keeps the waiter pretty damned happy to fetch stuff. The really fun part, though, comes if you can convince some muchachas to drink from your bottle instead of sucking down 6 dollar OJ's.

There are cheaper options that can be just as much fun as tequila. A smaller bottle of brandy is about 80% cheaper, and should run less than 25 bucks. The soda and stuff is still included.

Some friends of mine have also brought bottles INTO a club before. The bar usually wants some $$ for the privilege, and a drink for the manager is a nice touch, but chances are it can be arranged. The clubs they brought bottles into were CC and Chavelas.

Lastly, ALWAYS ask the price before you buy the bottle. The prices listed at the bar at Manhattan start at about SEVENTY FIVE BUCKS for a bottle and some cost 110+. I guess you pay a premium price to watch fat chicks dance in an environment so exclusive there are never any other customers. Hmmm, I wonder WHY?
