Brother Red, Yep, I think you're right on here, and it wouldn't even surprise me if these folks semi-deliberately pre-selected their 'interviewees' to maximize chances that they'd get e.g., drug users or other populations likely to be higher risk for HIV than most TJ working chicas. It's insidious in my view the ways in which the Puritanical and PC stuff works its way into HIV and AIDS reporting and research in too many situations. Gotta keep your eyes peeled for this kind of thang. |
