"I think the only "service" workers you left out that I would draw strict analogies with "prostitutes", would be "topless dancers", "professional atheletes", and "clergymen". They really give nothing back to the system, other than feeding our spirits." First, comparing prostitutes and topless dancers with clergymen is absurd. Prostitutes and topless dancers provide a valuable service, and fill a very real need. Clergymen are just conmen and scam artists. Second, I think you have a distorted view of "contributing to society". Most of what is manufactured in our wasteful society is unneeded crap, that we would be better off without (which is why the advertising industry is so strong - they need to manufacture a need for most of the bullshit being produced!!!) Most purchases are made to make you feel good, whether they are products or services. However, home breadmakers, angel figurines, christmas tree ornaments, christmas lights, designer neckties, santa claus wrapping paper, etc., really don't make me feel good. Blowjobs do, though. So, I submit, the woman who gives me a blowjob is providing me with a much more valuable service than the woman who manufactures any of the useless products mentioned above, or who creates advertising designed to make me feel a need to waste my money on the useless products mentioned above. Again, I challenge you to explain, if you don't think hookers provide a valuable service, why do you give them money? Or, if you do not patronize them, why are you spending time in this forum?
