Matiz,

Thanks for the thoughtful post. I agree with most of what you've written. I long ago mostly stopped watching television and don't even own a set anymore because of the degeneration to the lowest common denominator.

This public board is still useful but I'm sure there are some great stories and ideas that aren't being revealed because it is public.

I've tried to solve the issue of respecting privacy yet providing something useful by focusing on strategies rather than specific information. In fact I've gotten some of the most useful strategies from your posts. That includes getting out of my head and plans and being open to what's in front of me now. Also, the value of competition.

I also picked up some useful strategies from Westfargo including the importance of regionalism in Mexico. A great way to start a conversation in Mexico is "De donde eres?" (Where are you from?). Of course that requires knowing enough about Mexican geography to be able to talk about where ever they're from.

I used the reviews when I first started going to Mexico but haven't in over a year and a half, now. I've learned and developed my own strategies for meeting and getting to know las senoritas with much better results. Much of the specific information about las chicas gets out of date pretty fast as they come and go and change. However, I've found the best strategies are timeless - particularly those based on evolutionary biology/psychology.

Regards,
RickFeliz
