After a couple of bad experiences i am careful of what i eat when in Mexico
I picked up Amoebic dysentery i presume from a salad in puerto vallarta.after three weeks of symptoms i broke down and went to the doctor who prescribed some heavy duty antibiotics that took care of it.
Also after a Tijuana trip i got SEVERE diahrea which after four days i went to the doctor who hooked me up to an IV and pumped 3 liters of ringers lactate into my dehydrated ass. They couldn't believe that they could put so much liquid into someone without them feeling an urge to pee. They also gave me a shot of antibiotics and put me on pills and soon i was better.I was told in this case it was a very good thing i went to the doctor when i did.
Lesson here is if this stuff persists and over the counter meds are not helping seek professional help.
