Shy Guy, What's your take on this theory that Tagamet diminishes natural body defenses by reducing stomach acid? Btw, I've picked up two intestinal maladies in the last 2 months courtesy of TJs restaurateurs - both without taking any Tagamet and neither derived from a food cart. One incident was from a meal at one of the more upscale restaurants in TJ (Seņor Frog's) and the other from the Hotel Nelson's restaurant. This never happened to me before and I wouldn't think twice about returning to Frog's - but next time I won't dive into the raw vegetables that they put on your table with each meal. BTW, a doctor I spoke with said that after the bacteria gets you, avoid the Pepto Bismol and just let it flow.
