Strangelove, I live within two blocks of the south runway at LAX. As a result when I fly to Veracruz via Mexico City, it is much easier for me to go through LAX. I have noticed that sometimes flights are cheaper in San Diego for Mexico than Tijuana and that surprised me. I do know that Aeromexico and Mexicana offer some great sales from time to time, but it is hard to keep up with them - fares to Veracruz can drop $300 overnight without any advance warning. My attempts to find a travel agent in California or Tijuana have been unsuccessful. The travel agents seem receptive, but for some reason they never get back to me.
