Diego, I think I remember your story about being attacked by the menacing lunatic on the pedestrian bridge, and having him throw a broken bottle at you, cutting your elbow. Yes, it was very useful for illustrating the things that a no-longer-horny gringo can be confronted with as he walks back from the zona. I pretty much always use the bridge during the daytime, but after about 5-6 pm or after dark, I just use the cabs. Maybe that's over cautious. Doesn't the plaza close up about that time? Really, you're cool up to 9 pm or 11 pm? I almost always arrive early at AB. I never considered walking back but one time, when I had JUST enough money to go upstairs one more time, but then would have to walk. I played it safe and took the cab. But during the day, it is one of my pleasures to stroll this route to the zona. You can look at the many booths set up to sell you all manner of junk, and otherwise take in the fair city. There's a lot more to Tijuana than the zona, if only I had the time to see it. As I stated in my other post, the view of the hill, the plaza, etc. are all quite enchanting.
