The one thing that will shape what is written here is the fact that people will soon realize they are NOT anonymous. Unfortunately this realization will not become widespread until someone ends up in court for some unknown reason. Every computer on the Internet can easily be traced to the owner's name. I'm sure there are detective agencies and government agencies (cops, NSA, etc.) that monitor Internet traffic. It took me 15 seconds to find out who owns the computer this board runs on. The TCP/IP protocol packet header information contains the TCP/IP address of your computer when you click that submit button and there are many network security devices that monitor traffic. You can bet your bottom dollar that large publicly traded companies have the capability to monitor their networks.

From the TCP/IP packet header information your ISP can be determined, and for any given packet, the ISP can determine who sent it, even if dynamically assigned addressing schemes are used. It may take a subpeona for an agency to get this info, but that happens all the time.

Plus, I think we should all assume the chicas know your username and read the posts. This may not be widespread now, but TJ folks are becoming Internet savvy and people talk.

Last but not least, it's generally not a good idea to put anything in writing that you wouldn't want posted on a billboard.
