What's the Sinaloa connection?

It seems that whenever I ask a chica where she is from, it is almost always "Sinaloa". I swear 90% of the chicas seem to be from that area. What's the connection with TJ? It would seem to me that there would be many chicas from all over Mexico, not just that one area.
