I agree that "you can't blame a chica for being concerned about what is said about her." As a service provider myself, I try to put myself in their position. How would I feel if there were an independent group of unidentified customers publishing anonymous reports about the quality of my service? Even if the reports were consistently good, it would make me nervous, primarily because I don't know who these people are, what criteria they use, or how to correct erroneous impressions or outright fabrications regarding my work. That having been said, I don't believe that exchanging information about our experiences is a sign of the impending Apocalypse. If you take the collective experience of these boards as a whole, IMO the benefits have so far outweighed the disadvantages for both us and the chicas. Guys have obviously benefited from accurate, up-to-date information about the whole scene; we have been able to meet other like-minded individuals; and we have been able to exchange a wide variety of viewpoints about not only the minutiae of mongering, but more philosophical subjects as well. And, last but not least, I'd like to think that at least some "education" has taken place that promotes an appreciation of Latin culture, that debunks stereotypes about Mexico and about prostitutes, and that we have encouraged guys to recognize that these ladies are women first, prostitutes second, and that prostitution is what they do, not who they are. For the ladies, the benefits have probably been less noticeable, but undoubtedly the internet has informed more guys about what TJ has to offer and thus has to some small degree increased tourism to TJ and business in the ZN. And probably specific ladies like Dulce and Tania have, over the years, benefited from their fifteen minutes of fame. Sure there have been problems, and occasionally chicas and guys have been stung by the process of posting information. Such unfortunate events are probably inevitable, but fortunately, IMO these constitute a very small percentage of overall posts. On the whole, IMO this forum has had a positive effect on our favorite hobby. The intriguing aspect of it is that we are in terra incognita. We are in a new area of a new medium, and we really don't know where this is all headed or what new vistas may be opened up over the next few years as the medium (and its users) evolve. Stay tuned.
