I agree with you all the way Lerkher - a "process" is taking place and it will lead to a struggle with an uncertain outcome. Ironic to use the analogy of the upheaval in Eastern Europe...very appropriate analogy overall. But of course in the commercial sex arena, the switchover to capitalism and democracy opened up a nonexistent to minimal sex industry to vast proportions. In Mexico, the PAN pressures are to knock the sex biz on it's ass. In my own half-assed assessment, ultimately only economic development will strike a permanent meaningful blow against prostitution norms in Mexico - not political, ideological and moral pressures that by themselves don't put pesos in pocketbooks.
